Days of Future Past Deleted Scenes Thread

Also, hoy-small-fry, I saw your signature.

I know why they made him a "History" teacher in the new future...but I was waiting for Prof. X to say "art" xD

Would have been awesome right? Was hoping so much they'd say art, but obviously history provides a fitting finale.

Back on topic, big thank you to all those who posted excerpts. It's a great look behind the curtain of Hollywood at a film we'll never see. Those Rogue sees sound phenomenal, and I'd love and Extended Cut. However seeing as the Blu-Rays have been announced with no sign of an additional disk, Rogue's role in saving the future will most likely be consigned to being a what if deleted scene

I'd love there to be an extended edition, though they'd have to change the end of the movie too, where Bobby is still alive and with Kitty in the monastery. It could be done though, as an alternate cut, and would be a great boost to Blu-ray sales. (as well as an acknowledgement of Rogue fans!).

It would be so much better for the scene to be re-incorporated into the film in an alternate cut. There's not a lot of effects shots needed for the bulk of it, thanks to the great sets, and apparently the effects for the Rogue sequence are being finished for the Blu. It would be a shame if the sequence is just presented as a deleted scene.

By the sounds of the other deleted sequences, it sounds like a lot of the material was replaced by other, similar scenes, so that might harm our chances of an extended cut.

Here's a few more interesting things for the Bobby and Kitty fans. And some funny Bobby comments. Then i have to do something for a bit. Don't want to post too much. lol.

BOBBY
I’m going with you.

XAVIER
Bobby, it’s too dangerous.

BOBBY
It’s Rogue. I’m going with you. And no offense, but you two aren’t getting any younger. You could use
the help.

Bobby kneels down to Kitty, their faces close.

BOBBY
Kitty, I’m going to get help, I’m
going to bring back someone who can
help you.

Kitty’s eyes open, weary.

KITTY
Just...bring...yourself...back.

Bobby nods, emotional. He kisses her softly, and turns to go. She watches him for a moment, not sure if she’ll ever see him again, as he disappears into the darkness

And one last Rogue thing.

ROGUE
Bobby!

He looks back, too far to reach. He smiles, with one arm
still firing ice.

BOBBY
Go.
Finish
this.

Rogue’s eyes fill with tears, as--

im tearing up just reading all of this:csad:.....wow too much emotion in one film, everyone would just leave the theatres in tears lol! I hope they filmed ALL of what you said, and hopefully this footage will see the light of day.. it deserves too!!!

Ugh, these Rogue scenes are great! Now I hope more than ever that we get an alternate edition, these scenes would have added some emotional weight that was sadly lacking in the future.

Yep. I agree. Future need more. Even the Bobby/Kitty moment would have been a nice touch. Considering the timeline shifted and they were not together anymore.

Storm takes care of Kitty when she gets stabbed by Wolverine. She is piloting the X-Jet when they get to the temple and she had more lines. She only created the same hurricane we saw in the movie and used some lighting against the Sentinels.

Bishop actually had more dialogue than Storm. LOL. They gave the majority of his lines about time travel to Kitty in the final movie.

did storm have any dialogue in temple??

Those lines from between Bobby and Kitty has me hoping they filmed that part and that it'll be on the Blu-Ray. Would love to see it actually play out.

The tunnels from X2!! Dang! I want to see this scene now!

I know exactly where that was filmed too! it was filmed in downtown Vancouver in these little-known tunnels under the main post office on Georgia and Cambie.

"You're afraid...and Cerebro knows it."

I really didn't like this line change :(

Would love to see those Rogue scenes incorporated into an alternate cut of the movie.

Anyways, to Rike and SAUspartan is that mutant in the beginning of the movie also in the earlier drafts? If so, is he named?

The scavenger? No, he isn't. Just like the whole opening scene.

Ah cool. Anyways, I'm fairly certain it's Nate, because of the brown + white hair.

Wish this stuff was left in...

EXT. MONASTERY - FUTURE - DAWN

Magneto stands alone, looks out at the rising sun. Xavier approaches.

MAGNET
This war brought us back together.

Xavier slows, softens.

XAVIER
I’d like to think we’d have come to
our senses without it.

MAGNETO
I’ve been many things, Charles, but
“sensible” is not one of them.

Xavier moves closer to Magneto.

XAVIER
We’ve had our differences. But our
friendship always won out. It will
again. No matter what history may
bring.

Magneto looks over at his oldest friend, always the source of his hope, comfort. He smiles softly.

MAGNETO
I guess we’ll find out...

The
JUGGERNAUT stuff is interesting. I'm glad they changed it to Quicksilver.

Here's the end of Juggernaut stuff.

EXT. X-JET ON LANDING STRIP - PAST - DAY

The jet is parked. Cain is saying goodbye to Charles.

CAIN
Well, that was fun. Hey Chuck, let
me know if you get the school up
and running again. Those kids in
Poughkeepsie, they’re not in my
league.

Charles nods, distant.

CHARLES
Good luck, Cain.

Cain looks toward the plane, where Erik waits.

CAIN
Yeah, you too, Professor.

That scene is one that I wish was left in, there was a lot more dialog in the future scenes that I wish was kept, mainly with Bishop. They painted him as the leader of the resistance which made him more than just a new throwaway mutant. His lines explaining that he knew who the X-Men were and how he thought Magneto and Professor X hated each other that lead to their response was pretty good.

The script also made it seem like there were a lot more refugee mutants. Sunspot wasn't mentioned and Colossus had no lines (his one in the film belonged to Kitty) and there was Jubilee! Beast also wasn't shown in the corrected future so he most likely was added in with reshoots like rumored. Despite what Famke said about that having been shot long ago, his scene was in a hallway that didn't need to be done with any actor actually. It was also noted that Rogue didn't have her white streak in the future, and Weapon X seems to still happen as Stryker isn't Mystique in the end.

Are you sure they used those tunnels? I go past there for work almost every day.

It opened with the battle in Moscow.

Could anyone maybe talk a little more about Bishop in the original script and maybe copy and paste some lines of dialogue of his?

How about posting a link to the script?
