Days of Future Past Deleted Scenes Thread

I still think more future would have just given the core issue a little more.....like this scene with blink etc

I would like to see more of future especilly if apart from Hugh jackman this is final film with OT cast but as far as pacing goes Bryan Singer was likely right with what he cut from film.

I would gladly buy an expended cut of film which included more In future including rogue sub-plot on DVD or itunes.Although i know if expanded version were to happen unlikly to hit DVD although then again expended version of Hobbit did show up on DVD.

I would love more future scenes too but of Storm/Blink/Warpath/Colossus/Sunspot

Probably not going to happen though, we shall see.

Any chance of an Extended Cut?

The Wolverine got one so hopefully DoFP gets one as well, especially if that sequence w/ Rogue in the future was about 20-25 min long

the movie itself is already good but i think having all these cut scenes added onto the movie will really flesh it out more and we will get to see more of the original cast in the future

Yeah, there are 20-25 of deleted scenes, but 10 minutes of that is the Rogue subplot. Like at the beginning of this thread, this is what Simon Kinberg said in the Collider interview:

Where it was long was, it was probably about 20 minutes longer, maybe 25 minutes longer if that. Part of it was just the natural fat of, you know, an early cut of a movie versus a final cut of a movie. Things get refined. Part of it was, about ten minutes, I think, of sub-plot with Rogue in it that we cut out of the movie. So that was … the biggest chunk we took out of the film from first cut to final cut was the Rogue plot. And that was the sub-plot that has now been well-publicized, but that I created, not actually to bring Rogue into the movie, though that was a wonderful consequence, but more that I wanted to have, and this was in the early script phase, I wanted a mission for old Charles and old Erik, for Magneto and Xavier to go off on a mission together.

The other 10-15 minutes of deleted scenes must be the scene with Beast and Mystique, the Logan and Mystique "your a cold hearted *****" "well don't hold back" scene, Wolverine and the little girl and Magneto threatening Blink etc.

It's been awhile since I've been this interested in deleted scenes for a movie. While I think DoFP is already a good length as is, I'd still love to see what else would of been fleshed out had some of that made it in. For once I'm actually hoping for an extended cut if it ends up being worth while.

I really want to see that scene with Rogue, the interaction of Magneto and Xavier in that mission would have been great. I understand why it was cut but i want it on the Bluray :o

Was Xavier saying "You're afraid....I remember" to his younger self in the final cut? I don't remember lol since there were alot of different angles

Also dont recall seeing these, those the future group shot may have been there..so much happened lol

I don't remember him saying "i remember", actually I think the whole "you're afraid" thing came up differently, when McXavier was talking about not wanting to hear the voices and feeling their pain.

Don't know if this would have been a whole scene but we didn't get to see this I believe?

I think this one was at the very beginning when they arrived at the temple, got off the jet, and met the group already there. It might have been a different angle in the movie, but I don't think its different content that would be a deleted scene. Its the future and Logan is not lying with his head between Kitty's hands, so I think it was the arrival scene

It did seem to me like a scene was cut with Shadowcat/Bobby talking. You see Eric and Charles talk to Wolverine and you have Shadowcat/Bobby in the background. I guess theirs a possibility Bobby/Shadowcat had a conversation like Shadowcat/Colossus do in the comics.

The thing about the future is we don't get another scene from them after Wolverine sees Stryker. I wish the going back in forth from the past and the future was more balanced especially at the beginning. And also, a word from Storm to Logan would have been nice, like saying good luck to a friend before going to a time travel mission.

That scene took place when they were about to stop Mystique from killing Nixon in the conference room.

Old Xavier said the "You're afraid" line but didn't finish it with "I remember"

This could've simply been done for publicity shot purposes considering he still has the bullet wounds and he's clearly healed by that point.

I don't know if this was mentioned, but a young McAvoy Xavier standing in the sub-basement hallway while it all lit up spectacularly wasn't in the film. We only saw it when they went to Cerebro and he was in the chair by that point.

I'm curious about this outfit Wolverine was wearing. Maybe it was an alternate outfit they started production with?

Also, I don't remember the scene from the trailers with Logan calling Mystique cold-hearted and her saying "Don't hold back".

That's the same costume he's wearing but without the black armor pieces on it. It's shown in the B-Roll footage in between takes when he takes it off and is relaxing on set. This shot may just be a BTS shot from inside the temple.

Oh Ok thanks, I didn't know that. As a sidenote I loved Wolverine's future outfit, I loved them all actually.
