That was a good scene mainly because, as is said in the commentary, it better shows the change in lighting as the sun goes down, between the GG Bridge scene and Alcatraz entrance.

Lol. But atleast the light starts dimming, which is something.

When i do my re edit, i'll regrade the bridge scene so it gradualy fades into night during the bridge move.

Actually when you watch the DVD you'll see better that the light starts quickly dimming in the movie when Magneto lands and looks back at the family in the car. It's not as bad as I initially thought.

Just a heads up to everyone

There are 2 deleted scenes at www.mtv.com/overdrive

First is when pyro tells magneto that the cure has been announced (no beard)

Second is the alternate ending - New school year begins.


The Pyro and Mags one really is pointless but non the less could have been in the movie to show where Magnetos hide out is under the ground.

The alternate ending is basically the same as the one in the movie except beast and bobby are their with storm...which i like better.

they could have left the pyro one!!!
it was beautifly directed.

the school one was uneccesary

It really is shocking what has been cut from this movie...

We wanted some backstory/depth on Storm, hopefully an origin scene - it was filmed as dialogue but CUT

We wanted to see more humanity from Jean, and didn't like her standing and staring in SF - it was filmed (the scared girl, Jean refusing to help Magneto) and CUT

There have been complaints about Psylocke-in-name-only who had virtually no screentime - yet we know she filmed more as she told us - but it was CUT

Now, those scenes would not fix everything that is wrong with this movie (and even I, as someone who enjoyed it, can see the flaws)... but they'd make it a whole lot better, give it a lot more heart and substance. Not to mention that Storm's flash flood and Phoenix's nuclear reactions (on a tea cup!) would have added more too.

So frustrating...

When do we start screaming for an Extended Cut... or what software do we use to make our own (as Brett seemingly ruled out a Director's Cut). This is as frustrating as Bryan cutting the Krypton exploration sequence out of SR.

difference is that Brian's movie was already too long, so there's a reason for scenes to be cut. When it comes to X3...oh well, no need to say, everybody in here knows the issues of the movie's lenght.

Yeah, but Superman was already about 20 minutes too long, so to add the Krypton sequence would have been a little much.
