Deleted scenes

difference is that Brian's movie was already too long, so there's a reason for scenes to be cut. When it comes to X3...oh well, no need to say, everybody in here knows the issues of the movie's lenght.

Well, 'too long' is a matter of opinion, as someone obviously thought X3 was too long for all this chopping to be done. They must have had a set time in mind.

Bryan's movie may have been excessively long, but it doens't justify WHERE he made the cuts and WHAT he cut out.

I speak from experience about editing, as that's a large part of my job. Constraints of time, space, and other factors, often mean large pieces of creative work have to be cut out. It has to be done.

But it doesn't make it easier for us - the fans - to accept what was done as it would have resolved some of the criticisms about the movie, therefore the cutting has not done the movie any favours. Nor did Bryan's editing, I suspect.

Yeah, but Superman was already about 20 minutes too long, so to add the Krypton sequence would have been a little much.

EDIT: Damn you, flavio, and your speedy Brazilian fingers... wait... that didn't come out right.
lol

Hm. That sounds slightly ******ed.

LOL I agree. The scene was somewhat nice, though, Hank staying ( why??? ) and children running around- but I usually don't hug my teacher when I come back to school :p

does anyone know if there will be an option to watch the movie through with all the deleted scenes in it. like an extended version?

After the actions of the government, Hank feels he needs to stay where he belongs, I guess. Oh, and I'd imagine you'd hug your teacher if she saved you from imprisonment by an evil scientist underneath a dam :p

EDIT: Colossus saved her, nevermind.

I really wish Ratner would've kept in that new school year scene rather than the final one. Think about this: Beast leaved his position in the cabinet because he doesnt agree with what the president is saying. The Professor, Jean Grey and Cyclops are gone and basically Storm is left to deal with the school (Wolverine isnt gonna be able to do much). So it would make so much more sense if Beast would stay to help Ororo out and get the school up and running again along with teaching the newer X-Men how to help out and eventually become teachers at the school.

The cure annoucement scene should have been left in and the same goes for the alternate school ending IMO.

Did anyone spot the continuity error in the alternate ending at the school?:woot:

try changing ur reigonal settings

Why couldn't Wolverine just had been with the others, when the students came back? Did we really need to see him by himself, with his hands on his hips looking all smiley face, as the camera drifts away? Wolverine is not the center of the universe! :o

no what was it?

The continuity error is that when Iceman is standing next to Storm he's also talking to the kids.Unless Bobby suddenly got Multiple Man's powers i don't think he could so such a thing.lol

Try telling that to Fox.

Although it's better that Beast stays, It still feels wierd that this movie has an overly happy ending. the other two ended more ambiguously and that was after only one person died. Not like twelve.

I mean how do they know Phoenix won't rise again? just kidding. It seems a really forced way to smile and say oh Mutants are now accepted.

and so far I have liked all the Jean deleted scenes. There needed to be much much more phoenix in the movie.

Ugh, Ratner talks about adding some of the scenes to the Directors Cut in about 5 of the Deleted Scenes. If he liked them, why didn't he just add them in the original cut?

MTV overdrive isn't working for me :csad: can someone upload the scenes on youtube or anywhere else?

In a few of the scenes he mentions "We'll stick that one on the directors cut." or Kinberg/Penn say "You can put that in the directors cut." :whatever:

He kept "joking" about releasing one. He mentioned it a few times.

I disagree.

Magneto's "introduction" in this film, in the church meeting, was absolutley brilliant.

The cure announcement scene would have killed that.
