Outlets such as The Hollywood Reporter cited sources to claim that Dune 3 was eyeing Pattison for the role of Scytale.

If true Pattinson is playing the shapeshifting Scytale, wonder how they will play it?
Will the character be male only? Spend half the film male, the other assuming the appearance of the woman Lichna he kills and impersonates? Or a separate actor when as Lichna? g-neutral/ambiguous as both characters throughout? Veiled?

I think it has less to do with doing Children of Dune stuff in this movie and more cause Aaliyah wasn't born yet. More time has to pass to make her Anya believably come this movie.
