I really enjoyed the M7 TV show. It had some clunker episodes but there were others that rocked. Michael Biehn made a great Chris.

Any TV show or movie that features Ron Perlman as a shotgun-wielding pastor is automatically awesome.

I think I may have to see this.

Westerns aren't usually my flavor of tea but Antoine Fuqua+Denzel Washington+ Chris Pratt= I will have to see this.

Looks better than Fuqua/Washington's The Equalizer, which was terrible.

Nice! A brotha in the James "Britt" Coburn role! Now I can die happy.

Everything about this looks good except Peter Sarsgaard. I hate Peter Sarsgaard.

It reminds me Young Guns mixed with the 310 to Yuma remake.

Hopefully it's that good. Fuqua is hit and miss for me.

This looks every bit as great as I expected!

Could they have put more gunshots in the trailer :funny:

I like Fuqua, I like the cast, I like westerns, I like the trailer. Sign me up.

I don't know about this trailer. It seems a little generic, and I don't like this country rock version of House of the Rising Sun as the trailer music, which doesn't get me excited at all. I would prefer to hear the classic Elmer Bernstein Magnificent Seven theme, which would definitely give me goose bumps.

I hope they use that theme liberally. Even the TV show used that theme. I don't know if James Horner has incorporated it into his score though.

They don't seem to really be the classic characters from the original. Denzel's name isn't even Chris in this apparently but Sam Chisholm. Chris Pratt should've been Vin Tanner. This just seems to be a group of seven men who have assembled together, with the label "The Magnificent Seven" slapped over the film. It's almost more like one of the sequels to the original films (eg Guns of the Magnificent Seven).

Never seen the original, but this looks like good fun.

If you haven't seen the original, you should. It's not only a classic western but a classic film which everyone should see. And 5 of the original 7 went on to become Hollywood greats (Yul Bryner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, James Coburn, Robert Vaughn). The other two kind of faded into obscurity.

I think they created a trailer that would get a buzz with millennials; I think the next trailer we see will be a bit more traditional. A lot of movies now you can see have 2-3 trailers of different marketing styles (i.e. Dawn Of Justice: #1 was grimdark for Batman and hardcore comic fans, #2 was sweepingly epic for Superman and adventure fantasy fans, and #3 was rock and roll for the non-comic book action-movie crowd).

I am reasonably confident the actual movie won't be a big John Woo-style bullet ballet.

Fuqua's always been hit and miss with me. Training Day? Awesome. King Arthur and The Equalizer? Meh. This one looks like fun, though. They had me at Denzel and Chris Pratt anyway.
