Denzel wants to be a superhero

Denzel would make a ****ing awesome Superman, but that's never gonna happen. And Russel Crowe is a very talented actor but in every interview he sounds like an ass.

 

Denzel could be anybody.

 

Give him Blank Panther. It would own all.

 

John Stewart would own all as well. But I don't think he'd want to do that ****ty Justice League movie, though if he did I would instantly change my mind about it.

 

If Denzel ever did a superhero film, it's a guaranteed blockbuster.
Not only would the film itself look interesting, but the credibility that Denzel adds to the film would be something else.

 

Technically, you wouldn't have to be white to be Superman, even though you shouldn't change the race of such a popular superhero. Only lesser-knowns, and special cases like Nick Fury.

 

Yeah but it seems kind of pointless to just change his race for no reason, when he doesnt seem that suited to it anyway

 

He was an angel in the "Preachers Wife". Anyway, I think that he could play any "Cop with a Gun" type comic book movie role.

 

Maybe he can play Martian Manhunter so there will be no need to have superman and batman there hence no recast of the those 2 characters since Denzel can probably overshadow both those characters if they were there anyways

 

I think he's too big a name at this point. He wouldn't be able to disappear into the role as he was able to do earlier in his career.

Now that I am thinking about it. Washington could certainly play one of the DC/Milestone characters like Hardware, and Icon.

 

Denzel should be john Stewart. As far as Im concerned he's really one of the short few who I could see pulling off the role the way it was meant to be played. Certainly he'd do far better than some of the Rapper Casting choices that have been thrown out there.

If Denzel played GL John Stewart he would no doubt make him Superman's equal in terms of physical presence and emotion. Stewart is a layered character who demands a great actor and there's no one better than DW.

And no I'm not talking about Darkwing Duck, either...I'm talking Denzel Washington.

 

Don't ****ing give it to him until he shows versatility and a difference in his roles.

 

I think Martian Manhunter would be a great idea. I've come to like, and in fact prefer him as a black person now that Carl Lumbly and Phil Morris have played the character and did awesome jobs.

 

A guy of his caliber is not going to want his face covered up. I think this was a question posed by the interviewer and his answer has nothing to do with this film. In fact, he said that he has never been offered.

 

I could see that possibly working. Sure.

 

I've always said Denzel would make an awesome Batman.

 

I would cast him as Black Panther's father, T'Chaka, the Black Panther before T'Challa.

He's getting kind of old and he's starting to show his age. He can't play a character like Black Panther into his 60's.

I actually like this better because he actually LOOKS like a black Nick Fury rather than just being a totally Samuel L Jackson ripoff.

 

Actually, before Eckhart was cast as Dent, I was hoping he'd play Two-Face--would have been cool, in my opinion.

But yeah, him as Martian Manhunter or John Stewart in the Justice League movie would be the balls.

 

Ah. Thanks. I've yet to have read Ultimates, but cant recall any pics of Ultimate Nick not looking so much like Jackson. And yeah, I definately agree.
