Designated Survivor

my youngest sister said that was like the second or third show that this has happened to the actor playing this character. Since the show alpha's was canceled.

He can't seem to catch a break. He was on another show before called "Bull" (not the Michael Weatherly show but another one about Wall Street that had Stanley Tucci, Elizabeth Rohm and the guy who voiced Superman in the Justice League cartoon.

I was hoping Malik Yoba would become one of Hannah's team and be reinstated more officially. Will Hannah Wells take over his position now in the FBI as Deputy Director? Or will that limit her too much?

there was another bull interesting to know oh I missed last night ep . thank god for fiber wire play back. and yeah I agree with the rest of what you said.

It's like he's sean Bean. well I thing bean has it worse at times. I really want that spy series of his legends to have concluded. or that show he did with Ashley jud with the cia task force stating to spread out to other agency's that they both in stopping human trafficking after it came after thei child teen son. and hann seem more like a fibi unite chief which higher then Fbi field supervisor cause she's still younger then him and is likely to be ingthe field longer. it's possible but she'd ether one of the chief's a unite of section first.

And there's that guy she's working with the white hair who sorta out ranks her position wise for now. At least she has field discretion. Jason won't get to avenge his kid. his poor wife.

Did the traitor ever interact with Kirkman or any of the Whitehouse staff? He just seemed to appear out of nowhere. It wasn't that much of a betrayal because he was always a villain from the start.

They really needed to set him up from the start. Have him among the POTUS's trusted advisors.

Yes back in episode 6 (which I believe was the last time we saw him)

What did he even do in that episode? I honestly don't remember him.

Sorry it was episode 8 and he was on screen for for less than 2 min,he was giving Kirkman some info regarding some local terrorist who wanted to disrupt the elections.

I doubt most people would've even remembered that. They needed to build him up more as an actual character.

That may be the whole genius of it. he's in position to see and hear things and not be overly noticeable . like how when he gave info to that reporter in that building and told him not to fallow him immediately. he knows what he's doing .

He might not be noticeable to anyone, but there's no real emotional payoff for the audience. He just seems to come out of the blue. At least if he had appeared every now and again throughout the series and even seemed to be more of a character who knew people, then it would've felt like more of a betrayal. But he was barely known to audiences, so it seemed as if they just pulled him out of a hat because they needed a traitor figure.

Episode 8 was ages ago - before the winter break. I doubt people will remember that far back for a person who was in it for only 2 seconds and barely made any kind of impression.

So am I the only one who had no idea that this was returning tomorrow ? Ive not seen a single teaser or trailer for it until now.

thanks for the heads-up on this returning tomorrow night... I didn't even know about it at all...

glad its back on, but that felt like a really busy episode,as if some of the storylines could have been spread over 2/3 episodes.

I was bored. I wish the who bombed the White House storyline will be fast tracked. like the scenes of Maggie Q are way more interesting than the White House scenes, and you know Maggie usually appears appears for just 1/4 of an episode. I'm not really interested in Kieffer as a president. I find his role here pretty bland and too goody shoes. I kinda regret watching this though I don't want to drop it .

So it looks like Kirkman's Three Stooges will now be 4 with the political advisor being included. :D

Alex' Russian roots mentioned again! It HAS to mean something at some point.

She's leaving the show at the end of Season 2 and has joined a different series on Hulu. So either she will be killed off or she'll be shown to be a Russian spy.

And Zoe Mckellan has joined the cast now as a regular. She's not had much to do since leaving NCIS New Orleans. It never made sense for her to be in that series anyway since she was already a different regular character in JAG (of which NCIS is a spin off).

I'm not sure if Patrick Lloyd is really dead after the drone strike. Did they actually find a body?

Solid start to the season, with the abrupt death of Lloyd (If he's really dead) the move towards making this more about the Presidency and less about the thriller aspect seems to be true, not sure I'm a fan of that.

Was it me or was there a hint of flirting between Hannah and Aaron?

still wondering if Lloyd has something to do with the outbreak, the timing seems so suspicious

I get a feeling a lot of what happens this season will be due to Lloyd...

Well I don't know if it can sustain itself just as a thriller without it becoming rather contrived. They probably will need a certain number of episodes just about the presidency. I don't know if this file that Lloyd left is going to be opening up a bigger plot about Kirkman's wife which leads to her exiting the show.

Just caught up, man I swear the dialog gets cornier every episode.

Designated Survivor Stages 24 Reunion: Kim Raver Set for Big Season 2 Arc

It’s the Jack-Audrey reunion 24 fans never thought they’d see: Kim Raver is returning to Kiefer Sutherland’s orbit with a major arc on ABC’s Designated Survivor, TVLine has learned exclusively. The casting comes just weeks after word leaked that the sophomore series’ current leading lady, Natascha McElhone, will exit at midseason.

According to sources, Raver will play Andrea Frost, a wunderkind engineer and entrepreneur whose company, Apache Aerospace, is at the apex of high-tech industry. Frost is a woman with unshrinking confidence and vision — an Elon Musk-type with a philosophy about business and government that is sure to challenge the old ways that she’s made a career of breaking through.

How many episodes this season? It's only on about episode 6 or 7 at the moment. I don't know if we'll get to mid season before the Christmas break.

And why is it not on this week?

What reason will they give for McElhone's character leaving the show?

It was cool to see Hannah and Mike in the field together in this weeks ep.

Hannah is ice cold. That’s my girl! :D

As for the ending, well, we knew it was coming... :(

The Russians are mentioned so maybe the theory that Alex’ family being Russian plays a part is still not dead.
