Yep, Astonishing has been extremely dull, and the art sure doesn't help. At this point, I can give a rat's patootie about this whole Cube affair.

And, yes, FINALLY, Avengers/Invaders is going to end. I kind of liked it when it started out, but after issue 6 or 7, became quickly bored of it. It's petering to a conclusion.

DARK REIGN ELEKTRA #4 (OF 5) DKR $3.99 - lots of Dark Reign this week; this is the only one I'm getting.

Out of all the Dark Reign minis, Elektra is clearly my favorite. (The Hawkeye one was pretty decent, though.)

X-FORCE #16 XMW $2.99 - this dull crossover is almost over! Woo!

My only big disagreement with you. I love this crossover!!! My only complaint is that we've not gotten to see anything with X-Force's previous storyline since Boom-Boom was killed.

The crossover has dramatically improved the quality of Cable, while lessening that of X-Force, as I see it. I'm way more interested in the stuff going on in the present (the solicits for the next arc look great).

Spider-Jay, I wouldn't recommend the Venom: Dark Origins TPB. Brock was always pretty vicious as Venom, but this mini just makes him look really pathetic. Takes a lot away from the character imo

Thank God my wife says next week is an awsome week for us financially so I can actually afford all of this crap.

Anyhow... I put Spidey in the maybe because I hate it with a loathing passion. I've tried 3 issues of the American Son for the Dark Reign tie-in but haven't brought myself to even read them yet. My comic buying exceeds what I budget for them so I have to make cuts and this is probably a cut. But since we're having a good week I may get it anyhow. Haven't decided yet.

As for the rest... the prices tick me off. Uncanny makes the jump to $4. Skaar and Iron Fist have a random issue at $4. Skaar goes back to $3 next issue but Iron Fist is the last issue. I swear... jumping up the price just to make extra money on a dying series is rediculous. I almost can't wait until I drop comics... or at least Marvel. I'm turning into one of those people who are bitter at comics and I hate that. Thanks freakin' Marvel. It's entirely their fault.

I can't even get excited over the rest of this crap save X-Force, Nova, and Guardians.

A new issue of Astonishing X-Men? Has it been a year, already?

I officially dropped Thor from my pull list because it's an ongoing series with a high price point, but good god, I can't stay away! Next time I'm at the comic shop, I'm gonna have to annoy the owner by asking him to put Thor back on my pull list. I'll just grit my teeth and pretend it's another IDW title.
