Oh, I'm totally getting it. It's just that the one-shots are coming out more frequently than the new ongoing. It's starting to remind me of Thor.

It works for me, since I'm only buying the one-shots. Although, ironically, I stuck to just the one-shots because I didn't want to have to shell out cash so frequently for the monthly series...

*sigh* This is one of the agonizing weeks where there is more coming out that I want than I can really afford. I've bolded the ones I KNOW I'll be getting, either because they are on my pull, or because I was honestly afraid they were completely forgotten about in the excitement over "Blackest Night" (that'd be you, "Flash: Rebirth").

I've come to the conclusion that it isn't. It's probably my least favorite of the Avengers books, but being that it's at the center of the Dark Reign it's a necessity to get that story. So I figure I'm sticking with it until Dark Reign is finished, which should be the end of the year according to Marvel, and then the book is dropped, along with the majority of the Avengers line. That'll help me free up about $16 a month or more, which will be a big help for me financially.

Despite NA being a primer for the MU, I dropped the book before it became $4 and I haven't missed it. In fact, saying I "haven't missed it" is an understatement. Over 7 months later and I am still unused to the lack of dread that is in my heart from not having to buy that pompous strip every month.

In fact I merely had to click on a preview of the latest issue, with Mockingbird's new generic costume, with James Barnes being a hapless putz, and with Bobbi talking in narration like a 12 year old from the ghetto, to realize how little I want to read it. Unless Examiner.com wanted to cut $4 of pay from PayPal to send it to me for free, I won't touch it.

I liked Mockingbird's new costume, personally. I was surprised at how effective Bendis made her, too. Mockinbird kicketh much ass.
