I don't like Damian, but given that his *****eyness is actually part of the story--the reversal of the light, fun Robin and the brooding, jerkwad Batman dynamic--I'm intrigued. I kept telling myself I wasn't going to read it, but the direction sounds interesting and Frank f***ing Quitely's drawing it, so I'm tempted. I'll probably pick the first issue up and judge from there.

Yeah, I'm big into Quitely too, but I just can't seem to find my interest for this title. I'm not sure why really, I'm not against the idea or anything, just can't seem to care about. Might be me getting a little fatigued at Morrison or something

But, like Bucky-Cap, the fact that the original will certainly be coming back at some point doesn't necessarily have to mean you can't enjoy the ride in the meantime.

I actually didn't know that it was slated as a 12-issue, I thought it was suppose to be an ongoing. I read Cap, too and I enjoy it quite a bit, so I don't know, it's kind of a weird funk I'm in with Batman & Robin.

I was trying to plug the list into a spreadsheet so I could delete those all at once, but I couldn't figure out how and I didn't feel like deleting all of them individually. Odds are, if I post another one of these, I won't feel like doing it then, either. So you'll take it with them and you'll like it.

I get that. It seemed like Morrison was rocking the Bat-boat for no particular reason, which is why I was still on the fence about reading Batman and Robin myself. But I've made my peace with the fact that I'm not gonna get simple Bruce-as-Batman-doing-Batman-things stories like Dini was giving us anytime soon, so I'm trying to open myself up to giving the new direction a chance. Plus, you know, Frank f***ing Quitely.

Yeah, I didn't hate Morrison's run or anything. He had some pretty good stuff in there, but he had just as much bad to me. I'm still not sure why he's gotten so much praise for his work on Batman.

RIP kind of killed me on it really. That was one of the most anti-climatic stories I have read it years and now that Morrison pulled back the veil on it and we know for sure what was going on I think that may have depleted the gas in my interest of what he plans to do with the Batman mythos.

I ignored all of Morrison's earlier Batman stuff, so I remain relatively unbiased against him. Some of what I heard sounded stupid, but like I said, I'm primarily into B&R for Quitely and to see how Morrison uses the role-reversal between Batman and Robin.

Pretty good week. We seem to be getting AGENTS OF ATLAS books at a fever pitch, huh? Two this month and barely 2-3 weeks after that, a 6th issue. Maybe the whole "rotating artist" thing really works.

CB&MI13 does an annual to settle it's Meggan subplot, which will have the unintentional consequence of informing us who survives, or who doesn't, Vampire State. There is a part of me wondering if it couldn't have waited a few extra months to ship, unless Cornell & Kirk need some time to maintain schedule. Still, should be good.

Dan Slott's MIGHTY AVENGERS isn't selling as well as it was under Bendis, but to be fair, despite Bendis and SECRET INVASION tie-in issues, MIGHTY AVENGERS was on what insiders call a "slow decline" in sales every month. It may have dipped below 75-80k regardless. That said, sales so far seem to be stable over 70k for Slott's first issues, which is pretty damn good; hell, that's better than some of his ASM issues sell. I always enjoy his issues and his run is looking good.

And, as always, more WAR OF KINGS = fun times. Looks like a rock solid week to kick start the summer months.
