Dick Grayson Casting Thread

And just because Affleck is, too, that doesn't mean he can't be somebody else other than Bruce/Batman :o

As much as I would like the twist of Dick Grayson being undercover in Suicide Squad, I don't think that's the case. Wasn't there a report that Eastwood was offered either a secured role in Suicide Squad or an audition for Steve Trevor in WW, and chose the former? That WB would value Steve Trevor more than Dick Grayson doesn't make much sense to me.

Matches Malone. :o

Is Scott Eastwood is a secret Dick Grayson then Mister Reese was a secret Riddler.

Eastwood is playing the role of "Original Soldier Guy".

I though he was playing a young Slade Wilson in SS, or was that bullcrap?

That was a rumor with no real basis.

Not that the Dick Grayson rumor has concrete proof backing it up, but it's a lot more likely. I secretly (actually, I'm pretty open about it) hope it's true.

I wouldn't mind if Robbie Amell ever suited up for Nightwing.

Or Ian Harding if he can do more dramatics

Or Theo James

Jack Gyllenhaal or Zac Efron be good choices. If it turns out Eastwood is already playing him in SS, I'd be happy with that. As long as Grayson is alive and it's Todd's costume in the cave.

Given that I really want the defaced Robin suit we see in BvS to have belonged to Dick, my "ideal" pick for the role (should we see him in flashbacks or whatnot) would be Isaac Hempstead-Wright, since he's right at the perfect age, IMO, for the character.

He seems more suited for Tim Drake to me.

I would definately go with taron egerton, BUT, he has said he's not interested in being cast in big 'frnachise' films which kind of discounts him but he has said its character and story that drives his choices so if it can be made, I'd love him to be Nightwing / Dick.

Or how about Liam Hemsworth as Dick Grayson/Nightwing?

It doesn't make sense, given this Batman's psyche, for him to have had more than one "Robin", so unless you want to make it so that Dick Grayson doesn't exist or exists but isn't a superhero, making him the person Bruce lost is the only way that the timeline and intent of the "Death of Robin" works.
