Did Peter (technically) kill Brock?

I hope the thread title isn't too provovative.

Something about Eddie's apparent death at the end bothers me (apart from Peter seemingly using his power of the Force, Force-Pull, to extract the pumpkin bomb).

Whereas in the first film, the Burglar (the allegedly un-nameable Dennis Carradine) fell while trying to kill Peter, in SM3 Brock was making no such move at the time.

The best analogy I can come up with is this:
Imagine a wild dog (or an escaped lion from the zoo) running rampage on the streets maiming folk. An armed citizen finally comes to the rescue. However just as he is about to shoot, the animal's owner jumps in an attempt to save the animal (rightly or wrongly), and both animal and owner are killed.

Wouldn't the shooter now be guilty of manslaughter (or whatever the equivalent would be)?

And also:

As far as we know Brock didn't kill anybody in the film.

And couldn't Peter have web-zipped Brock out as he was jumping into the symbiote?

Any thoughts?

kinda. Bock just got in the way, but it was too late 2 stop him. Result: Dead dumbass/*******. KABOOOOOOOOM! lol

Brock is only presumed dead at the moment. There was so much of the symbiote that it could have acted like a shield to protect him from the bomb blast so he could have been thrown clear when the bomb went off & it only destroyed the symbiote. If Raimi really wanted to make it clear what happened he could have shown Eddie's skeleton after his body had been vaporized & disintegrated from the mini atom bomb blast the same way he did when the Oscorp employees were killed in the first movie.

Peter did had some hand in Brock's death, though Eddie brought it down on himself. But what I'm arguing here is that Peter threw a bomb at the symbiote without realizing it's potential, he didn't knew how much of a damage it would do upon exploding. The explosion was big enough, and in my mind it was pretty wreckless of Peter to throw a bomb with Eddie just beside him, sure Peter could have taken the wave of the blast but what about Eddie? Of course Peter is not guilty of Brock's death but its not like his hands are totally clean. Anyways, I can't see Spidey using such a lethal weapon on anyone.

Peter had seen a pumpkin bomb explode many a time before, so at this point I think he had a good idea of how far away one has to be in order to be outside of it's blast radius. They were all mass-produced to boot, so they probably all had the same lethality. If Peter was far enough back to just get some bright light in the eyes, Eddie would have been fine if he didn't stupidly approach the symbiote and compromise his own safety.

Brock is only presumed dead at the moment. There was so much of the symbiote that it could have acted like a shield to protect him from the bomb blast so he could have been thrown clear when the bomb went off & it only destroyed the symbiote. Dude...he did. There's YouTube videos called 'the end for Eddie' and 'Venom's skeleton' that show that, as the bomb detonates, his body is burnt down to a skeleton along with a massive chunk of the symbiote. Then the flash happens where Peter shields his eyes, and when all is said and done the symbiote screeches as the last parts of it and Eddie's bones vaporize in the explosion. It's not faked- I saw it the first time in the film and everything (due to reading a fan note beforehand). Just need to pay attention. He's dead. Even more than Norman. If they bring him back, they bring him back. But the fat lady sung as far as Brock's first life is concerned.
