Die Hard 6

A Die Hard Prequel? lol

Wasn't the first Die Hard basically how McClane became such a badass? The ideas that some people come up with these days is beyond hysterical. :lmao:

i thought Hollywood couldn't sink any lower with the Paul Feig's "Ghostbusters" reboot/remake

i was wrong...
Yes that Ghostbusters film that is being directed by a criticially acclaimed comedic director and starring talented comedians is totally the same thing as a Die Hard prequel/sequel directed by a hack.:whatever:

If there is any reboot that has a chance of being decent it's the Ghostbusters reboot. Hey lets look at Paul Feig's last film's reviews compared to Len Wiseman's.

Spy 93% on Rotten Tomatoes

Total Recall 30% on Rotten Tomatoes

Yep, totally the same thing. The scores are uber close.

As I said Spidey Green Day is someone who is best suited for the ignore list. Just a friendly tip :cwink:

Yeah, Spy was amazing, and I think the Ghostbusters reboot might be good.

It's good enough for Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson to agree to make appearances apparently. And Rick Moranis turned them down because he's semi-retired, not because he thought that the film would be bad.

I read a great interview recently I saw online Moranis did. Love that guy.

Yes there was:

latest

That's it! In truth it's not a bad idea for graphic novel, just a lousy one for a movie.

Actually, I hear the script for the Ghostbusters reboot is awful. But I have more faith in Feig and that cast making magic out of a bad script, then I do with Len Wiseman.

I am looking forward to the Ghostbusters reboot .
If The Die hard prequel was never made, I wouldn't shed a single tear.

The only way this works is if John is going after drug dealers or something like that, and even then, it's not the best idea.

Some franchises have the ability to be extended many films or rebooted. I never felt that way about Die Hard.

The second one was subpar but it has that great scene when McClaine was crying when he couldn't save that plane. It was a real human moment.

Him leaping off a skyscraper, then plowing through several glass roofs and into a swimming pool without a scratch isn't very human (Part 5). Nor is fighting a jet. (Part 4)

I think the 2nd film is underrated. I wish they would go back to having McClane in one setting(Nakatomi Building/Dulles Airport). Him having to use his surroundings and adapt to the situation was what made those films great for me.

Something about the Die Hard movies and Christmas that seem to go together. It's Home Alone for adults.

I am not surprised a studio is trying to make money off of a well known property. With that being said, I agree with "NewYorkSpider"s on a die hard prequel storywise but from a financial perspective it may be worth exploring for a studio to be able to get more money without having to pay Bruce Willis (whose older and kind of been sick of making movies like this many years ago) a ton of money to get him back.

DH2 was very, very "eh"... But still much, much better than 4 and 5. And I agree that I'd like to see him trapped in a building/complex again.

The thing is Willis is coming back. This a prequel and sequel rolled into one.

Just let this franchise die already. It should have stopped at 3. Even though I think 4 is watchable, it wasn't worth reviving the franchise.

Well, someone is set to play the younger Willis so with reduced time maybe that's the only way to get him back?

And even looking at it that way, they shouldn't have even done 2. :o

I liked the original idea I read for this film, with the anniversary of Nakatomi Plaza and ****. Whatever happened to that?

Not really a fan of flashbacks in general, much less in a Die Hard film. Flashbacks tend to undercut the forward momentum of a story.
