Die Hard 6

You know, I wonder if this has anything to do with the rumors about "tension" between Wiseman and Willis on the set of LFODH. Like Wiseman is open to making another DH film (because he enjoyed it and it was his most successful film, maybe ever), but isn't keen on working with Willis again?

This has to be one of the dumbest ideas I've heard in a long time.

Yes that Ghostbusters film that is being directed by a criticially acclaimed comedic director and starring talented comedians is totally the same thing as a Die Hard prequel/sequel directed by a hack.:whatever:

If there is any reboot that has a chance of being decent it's the Ghostbusters reboot. Hey lets look at Paul Feig's last film's reviews compared to Len Wiseman's.

Spy 93% on Rotten Tomatoes

Total Recall 30% on Rotten Tomatoes

Yep, totally the same thing. The scores are uber close.

Lol, you know what would really make his head explode? If this thing turned into a Die Hard remake/reboot in which Jane McLane saves her husband Harley from the evil Helga Gruber.

I'd love to see THAT movie, if only for fanboy reactions. They'd be jumping out of the windows of skyscrapers. :D

Actually, I hear the script for the Ghostbusters reboot is awful. But I have more faith in Feig and that cast making magic out of a bad script, then I do with Len Wiseman.

Where did you hear that? As far as i know, the script hasn't been leaked.

:funny:

I liked the original idea I read for this film, with the anniversary of Nakatomi Plaza and ****. Whatever happened to that?

Not really a fan of flashbacks in general, much less in a Die Hard film. Flashbacks tend to undercut the forward momentum of a story.
I think the Nakatomi Anniversary idea turned out to be a fan script.

I feel like 2 and 4 are interchangeable for me. Both have enough flaws to be better or worse than the other on any particular day. But they both s*** on 5.

The original is the better film but man, 3 has more replay value. I would just love to see McTiernan get another shot at directing. John McTiernan is like Martin Campbell. When he makes a bad movie, it's horrible. But when he makes a good movie, it's fantastic.

Die Hard and Die Hard: With A Vengeance are both fantastic.

As the years go by, I honestly can't pick which one I like more.

Vengeance is my favorite. Yes the first is the best, but the third is such an excellent buddy film. Willis and Jackson are incredible together.

I actually like 3 better than 1 TBH, mainly because of Jeremy Irons and Samuel L. Jackson.

I did like someone's idea of doing a Mad Max approach to Die Hard. Die Hard 6 could of been about what McClane was doing after Die Hard 2;before Die Hard With A Vengeance.

Yeah, just recast McClane, have him be a guy in his late 30's/early 40's in 2016 and make vague references to him having past incidents.

Sullivan Stapleton for John McClane. I know everyone around here hates him on Blindspot, but he was brilliant on Strike Back and very McLane-esque (wisecracking badass). Has the right look, too.

I can't wait until someone else wins the nomination and Trump goes the f*** away.

Unrelated to this dumb Die Hard 6 idea, but in early December, I'm seeing Bruce Willis on Broadway in Misery.

It's his Broadway debut. Def gonna try to get his autograph afterwards.

The prequel idea is dumb like others have said because the first film was the prequel.

That would be just brilliant. :funny:

The only way I could see them pulling off a prequel would be to do it with a similar plot to The Raid or Dredd. Set it in some tall apartment complex that he has to slowly work his way out of. Perhaps its his first day on the job. I dunno..the whole idea of a prequel is stupid.

Exactly. It's not like the Die Hard movies have a core story running through them that could have a prequel to set them up.

Bruce Willis http://trib.al/VGjtcgN

“It’s a very good idea, a really tricky idea, and I’m very happy about it,” Willis shared. “It’s a really cool idea, because it’s the origin story. It’s gonna happen at the beginning of this. We’re going to bounce back and forth.”
