The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Director's Cut

I think a directors cut could improve the film, you could cut out doctor Kafka for example.
I'm honestly happy with the final cut. Deleted scenes would be enough for me.
Agree with that. I felt the cut to Ravencroft was weird.
I think it worked. While Peter was grieving, the world kept on spinning and evil kept stirring. It all intertwined into the final scene.

Yeah, hope all the deleted scenes are on the DVD. And that theres the option to watch directors cut....

Still kinda fuming that the directors cut to Spider-Man 3 was never released as apparently there was 20 minutes of cut footage.

I still think this movie will suck no matter the cut. They would need to have alternate, non-goofy scenes for Max/Electro and Alexsei/Rhino and even the Goblin was a bit laughable when he is talking to Spidey and Gwen.
It was a great scene. Goblin was menancing as hell.

Just got an update from the director's cut petition that Webb is considering releasing a DC. Promising. To be honest, deleted scenes is more than enough for me.

Question. If graphic scenes are included as deleted scenes do Sony have to go for a higher rating (for example 15)?
If they have to get a higher rating then they may as well make a 15 rated DC.

Really? Did Marc Webb tweet it or something?

I assume so. Deleted scenes or cut into the movie, I absolutely have to see the extended Goblin change and Spidey beating the **** out Goblin after he laughs at Gwen's death.

All of you guys please try to sign the petition. If you have any friends who enjoyed the movie, ask them to sign it too. Spread the word. As Spidey fans, we deserve to see Webb's ultimate vision for the character.

If any of you are members of IMDB or reddit, please encourage them to sign the petition too.

Wow, only 2,700+ needed.

That's pretty impressive.

A source on that wouldn't hurt.

Adding graphic content to the movie proper (as a director's/extended cut) would push the rating up (if they're as brutal as they say), but I don't think including those scenes as bonus features-- separated from the movie-- would do anything.

Director's Cuts are such a ridiculous idea. If the film that hits theaters isn't the "director's cut", then they messed up.

I take it you've never heard of editor or final cut privilege? It's very common for what hits theaters not to be the directors cut.

Just so you guys know, 10,000 is an arbitrary number. It will go up if it is reached. Good work though, I'm in contact with the author and he's had plenty of people tweeting the progress to Webb's twitter. He's sure to have noticed.

I'm in two minds about this petition. The deleted scenes were sure to be released, and now they are I'm unsure when Sony would fit in a director's cut. As a petitioner myself, I hope the fans get their way.
