The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Director's Cut

Yes! ... but for the sake of diplomacy, lets have both.

Seriously though. ASM got deleted scenes released, if ASM2 gets an extended cut while I continue to wait for Sony to throw me a SM3 bone I'm gonna be pissed.

That's exactly what I was thinking.:csad:

That gif is a ban-able offense. May want to remove.

"Several scenes involving Dane DeHaan were cut due to the disturbing and intense nature of the scenes. These include: Harry drinking and speeding while the girl he is on a date with begs him to slow down. An extended version of Harry's transformation into the Green Goblin, including his teeth growing and shattering, and his nails growing into claws. The Green Goblin showing himself to Felicia, who is in the building during the transformation, and sparing her life. In this scene, the Goblin kills Menken, and proceeds to destroy the Oscorp building. The Goblin cutting the web that Gwen is holding on to, which leads to her death. Alternate versions of Gwen's death also included the Goblin fatally stabbing her, and breaking her neck with his bare hands."

According to the actors, the original Goblin vs. Spider-Man fight was longer and more violent, but had to be cut in order to keep the PG-13 rating. Things that were cut include a scene where the Goblin (Dane DeHaan) is conscious when Gwen dies and laughs at Peter as he cries over Gwen's body and a scene where Peter almost beats the Goblin to death after Gwen is killed.

Doubt we'll get a DC but we must have these scenes on the deleted extras like they did with ASM1

This series has to take the crown for most prominent deleted scenes. Christ. Talk about enough material to make a true fan cut. There's so much on the cutting room floor you could make entirely different films.

They missed about 2 hours and 20 minutes that needed to be cut amirite?

Hopefully there will be a director's cut like with The Wolverine.
Those scenes are a must have in the film. Especially the transformation, Oscorp scene and the laughing at the end.

Yeah the movie was already really good and i don't see like any of the so called flaws so i want to see if the delected cuts would have made the movie even better.

Due the massive amount of threads in this forum:
Is there any post that's listing all the differences between the rough cut (maybe march) and the final product? Would be a very intersting read.

yeah while even spider man 3 had like 20 delected sences that we never saw.

Wow! I shared that when it had around 100 signatures, was not expecting it to reach 2000!

well, the director's cut may change people negative opinion towards this movie ;)

The worst case scenario is we get more peter and gwen scenes and we see harry destroy oscorp, I can't see any negatives about a signature

I would absolutely LOVE a director's cut of this movie. Not because I hated it and wish to elevate/change my opinion, I actually loved it for the most part but would love to see more of those parts which made me like it so much.

Jesus, it seems like they cut an hour out of this movie.
Sony seems to waste a lot of money shooting scenes and deleting them, and never giving them the light of day. Sigh. I want to go over there during the post-production of TASM3 and remind them not to cut the cool scenes.

Hopefully they'll release the deleted scenes in the DVD/Blu Ray disks that they sell so that way at least we'll have them in some form.

I would LOVE the extended cut but I don't want the ending changed. The way it played out was perfect for me and I don't think the laughing may hurt the quiet emotional aspect of it.

Sometimes I think about how it would be for the movie to end with Peter at the graveyard, and then having it cut to Oscorp with the Gentleman and all the Sinister Six stuff.

Personally, I wouldn't mind an ending like that.

Sure, it would've been sad to end it with Peter like that, but the a Sinister Six thing at the end, would've been pretty exciting.

Can the low performance at the boxoffice boost the chances for a director's cut?

I have no clue why or why they don't do director's cuts for movies. I mean we got spider man 2.1 but that was like 3 years after it came out and we never got one for sm1 or 3 and it semed like a lot of people wanted one for 3 and not to many people asked for one on sm2 yet that was the one we got.
