To be fair, even if GM wasn't unionized, I think that Saturn would still be shut down. It never really took off as a brand.

Unions are for unions. Period. Don't let them feed you bull about how they are for the workers. They're for the workers only if those workers belong to a union. Otherwise, why would they oppose people in right-to-work states getting jobs? And free choice? Right. They only want operations in states where union membership is mandatory.
Yep. That about sums it up. Oh, and Nissan workers at the Smyrna, TN, plant have declined to unionize three times since the plant opened. I wonder why?![]()
I have no words...
Probably the same way you guys on the Right spin bad stories about Right Wingers.I'm waiting on how some around here are going to spin this one......
what I never understood is why at certain places (like Stop and Shop here in CT) if you want to work there, you HAVE to join the union...why do you HAVE to?
Right-to-work measures were proposed in 18 states this year . . . The laws generally are backed by business groups and Republicans, opposed by Democrats and denounced by labor.

Victory for Wisconsin.
Depends on the perspective. If you're on the side of workers, obviously this is a bad day for Wisconsin. But if you support the law that was passed and see it as a way for Wisconsin to get away from the chokehold of unions, it is a victory. How exactly is it a victory?
