it's still just an opinion, and opinions are never fact until they are proven as fact.

K this threads getting kind of pointless now. Feel like banging my head against a brick wall.

well red shift is evidence for the big bang, along with the motion of existing matter, and some more which is also in hawking book.

Evolution has fossil remains and such like, also bacteria can be seen to evolve over the course of several weeks, so that is OBSERVED evolution, so yes, it is fact by definition

Dude, don't bother, seriously. Youl never get anywhere, some people just cant be told.

Did anyone really answer where they believe God came from?

He didnt come from anywhere.... he just existed. The universe cant just exist though, because nothing can just exist... apart from God.

I'm not saying I disagree with you, but you lack the mindset to be able to have faith in the first place. I'm the same way.

I just have to laugh at that.

I guess religions should include some fine print at the end of their "holy books" that reads "Of course, when we say 'available to everyone' that doesn't include cynics, skeptics, people who don't subscribe to blind faith, and people who don't trust easily"

That sounds like a cop out.
the mind of man
Well I know that what some people say but I just wanted to know from the believers.
Maybe God is just a mega powerful being, from space. Perhaps he is like suped up Galactus.
Hope he doesn't eat the world.:p
thats basis for a seperate thread...
We should have a seperate thread for it.

Thomas Jefferson was an deist, and Joan Of Ark was insane...I dont think any of them were smarter than anyone else either, they just reached power.

Thank god you said that, I'm sick of people calling Joan of Ark so great.
Generally people that hear voices are um crazy. One mans lunatic is another mans prophet of god.

Where did the meteor come from?

A lot of scientists can't even agree with that, but I tend to subscribe to string theory.

whats up with dinosaurs, how did they come about?

From what I can tell, which I must grant is rather limited, that journal seems to be about synthizing amino acids from one celled organisms.

it's a two way process, you can use the same logic to synthesise one celled organisms from amino acides, like E=MC^2 gives you the atomic bomb reaction backwards etc.... There's lots on the amino life projects, altho a lot is in japanese:huh:
