WBC is pathetic. Most people see these inbred freaks for what they are. The only thing they care about is attention, not God, and not the Bible, which they can't quote accurately to save their life.

It's just a shame these fools with nothing better to do have to impose their ignorance on events like funerals and graduations, and stain such unrepeatable days for the targets of their hatred.

And I sincerely hope that congress ignore their "Strongly worded letter" and go ahead and repeal DADT as soon as they can. There is no valid reason for Congress to wait to repeal DADT. They've waited far too long to do it already as far as I'm concerned. DADT needs to be repealed as soon as physically possible. No more delays, no more excuses.

Well let's hope that the politicians do the right thing and ignore the Joint Chiefs completely in this case. There's zero reason to hold off on repealing DADT and it is long past time that congress did the right thing and made it possible for gay soldiers to serve in the armed forces openly.

politicians do what they have to in order to stay in office, it sucks, but thats how it is...I can almost guarantee that any member of Congress whos seat is coming up in 2010 and isnt a shoe in for reelection won't voice their support

The worst part is, the guy's a church leader (groups like that are basically churches, and are usually attached to a ministry of some sort). If you have the coin to spend on hiring a prostitute, not just for one night by an ENTIRE TRIP TO EUROPE, you've got too much money. As much as I despise that particular church and those with a similar political bent, that money could be spent on the church's other programs and not to the guy's personal salary.

I can't remember, and can't read the article at the moment, but did he use church money? Because guys like these usually have a lot of money from side businesses/dealings. Although, guys like these tend to embezzle from their churches, so I wouldn't be surprised.

Even if he wasn't embezzling, I'm troubled when faith leaders lead such decadent lifestyles. I go to a very liberal church, but if I learned that the pastor took an escort to Europe, I wouldn't be upset about him using prostitutes, but I would be loudly asking how much he's being paid.

Haggard creates a hateful organization that drives followers into insane depths of fervour and rage masked as "love," and one day all those enraged followers purge you for not being pure anymore. It's hard to feel sorry for either party.

Sorry if I'm being dense here and completely missing your point but are you saying that people who are gay, bi, Trans or into various subcultures should stay "Closeted"?

I mean I'm sure that's not what your saying. There's no reason why we should have to stay "Closeted" and people have every right to be open about their sexuality and sexual preferences but that's how this reads to me and I really don't follow what you mean by saying "Closeted is the key word here"
