🇺🇸 Discussion: General Election 2024, 🥥 VS 🍊

US News
The honeymoon is going to be over with the media now that she's a party nominee. We're going to start seeing them come hard and fast at her and her campaign about foreign policy (Iran, Russia, and Israel), the economy, police reform and healthcare reform. So here comes the press conferences that right wing media has wanted.

On the other hand, if the Trump meltdown is getting more clicks, well....

I'm not too sure about the honeymoon being over. It's certainly possible, but I think there's room to grow here. She has a VP pick and a convention in front of her; a convention that looks like it will be far, FAR more peaceful than it looked to be a month ago, and, I think, she will be somewhat insulated from attacks on the Biden administration.

She'll take some lumps like any other candidate and I think we can all assume an "October surprise" from certain foreign governments, but how do they attack her? Left wing radical, border czar, DEI candidate, funny laugh, etc. What she needs to do is put out her vision and even make the case about the border, crime, and the economy.
Good that her appointment was sorted out so quickly so that the DNC should be a positive event now without infighting (I guess unless the running mate pick upsets things).

Not only that, but there was a large uprising of people who were up in (figurative) arms about the Palestinian situation and it could have escalated into a 1968 anti-Vietnam war (also in Chicago) kind of thing. I don't see that happening now.

Zuckerberg being privately pro-Trump and Musk being openly pro-Trump isn't giving me confidence in the future for social media during election seasons.

Techbros have always been pro facscist. And very definitely pro "no regulation".

Just insane from a historical context. Trump was shot at and had his RNC. And the Dems still over doubled his fundraising. Just insane.
