🇺🇸 Discussion: The DEMOCRATIC P - Part 3

US News
The ability to recruit has fallen, so why would they exclude half the population?
Women don't have the right to be in combat. It's the equivalent of him feces. - Tucker Carlson.

IF Dems are smart, and it seems the calls are getting louder, they definitely need to embrace Bernie's views and policies. That should be the standard for the Democratic Party moving forward. The time of courting moderates is over, it's a populist world now.

They're not.

Is it too late for this ticket?

I voted for Bernie in 2016 and 2020 primaries, but I always liked Warren as 1B to him.
I was either/or for them. Truly upset Warren didn't run in 2016 that felt like her time and her populist message and being a woman would really take the wind out of the sails of Clinton.

My B right now is Tim Walz and AOC.

Walz and AOC would be my ticket in a heartbeat.

Realistically? It'll probably someone like Newsom/Shapiro and Whitmer/Ossoff

Shapiro is hungry if we trust Kamala's campaign's evaluation of him. He didn't get VP not because of the shady stories when he was AG, but it seemed he was treating it like it was his presidential campaign. So I picture him in a future Dem primary.

Gretchen and Ossoff would be nice if we didn't need him in the Senate. Also America is hellbent on not voting a woman as POTUS.

Would you agree these are the most likely names for 2028?

Ruben JUST got elected to the Senate, so no. Prtizker, Shapiro, and Pete are very likely. Gretchen is up there, but after Kamala and Hillary I think voters will be gunshy to elect a woman unless they push for progressive policies.

Well, after a considerable ballot cure period here in North Carolina, incumbent Democratic NCSC justice Allison Riggs secured a nail biting lead over Jefferson Griffin by over 129 votes (she was trailing by 10K votes coming out of Election Night). We won't find out who won until next week, since six counties have yet to report provisional ballots, but if it holds after the final tally and recount— it’ll be a nice surprise.

And another state legislature race, a state Senate seat (District 18) likely have razor thin margins as well.

Wishing them luck. We need all the slivers of hope we can get.
