I listened to part of an interview with Barack Obama and, while I don't agree with him on his general political line (I'm pretty far to his left flank), man......I miss that guy. I frankly prefer Biden's approach to the economy more, but Barack is such an effective communicator. That's part of the job, but I really, really want to see someone who reflects my economic views and is a good communicator. This is why I was a supporter of Elizabeth Warren for president and would have no problem supporting Katie Porter down the road. Both are smart, honest, and know how to frame the issues.

BTW, my infrastructure bill probably would have made both Liz and Bernie blush. LOL

I miss Obama, too. He was such a delight to listen to, especially when compared to Trump who is just too trashy and cringe worthy to be Presidental.

Yeah, the GOP are going to their best to stop green tech in their states, even if it is beneficial. Even in MI, they had to remove authority from local authorities to stop NIMBYs.

Texas is trying to have it both ways. The GOP is obviously wedded to big oil but the burgeoning solar energy industry there is keeping the power grid from failing.

I don't expect President Carter to hold on much longer. He and Rosalynn were true soulmates and with her gone, he has no reason to stay. I'd be surprised if he lasted to Thanksgiving, let alone Christmas.

He's been in hospice care for quite some time, so, yeah something like this could push him over the edge if he's still aware of what's going on.
