I have it reversed.

Drone bombs cause more damage than traditional missiles launched manually by planes.

The CBS Evening News just reported that the camera feeds are what has been hacked. (An issue that stems from the 90's.) The hackers were not able to gain any actual control over the drones.

Apparently it's still a problem though because they are able to tell the area the drone is in and what not. At least that is what I was getting off the news.

As generic as the landscape is...I don't know how they would be able to make out anything. (Then again, it is THEIR area.)

Oh lord.....here we go.

In reality, they'll probably just get a slap on the wrist...maybe get an NJP and a stain on their record that will go away after a few years. They could also get dropped down in rank, and take a temporary pay cut. Court martial would probably only happen if the soldiers in question tried to get a lawyer to contest the charges. But if they're charged for disobeying a direct order from their general, (to not get pregnant/to not get someone pregnant on deployment) then there's probably not a whole lot that they can do to argue a case in court.

It's not like anyone's right to reproductive freedom is being suppressed. This is military life in a war zone. You knew you weren't supposed to get pregnant while you were out there, even though you could still have sex. Therefore, you should've used several methods of protection. Since you didn't, you disobeyed a direct order, and now others have to do your job while you go home/somewhere safe. Now you and your partner will be punished for disobeying a direct order. The letter of protest from Sen. Boxer and friends is just pure nonsense from people who have no clue whatsoever as to what is really going on.

Exactly. Every person deployed, no matter what branch of service knows some of our "freedoms" or whatever you want to call them will be temporarily stopped. In fact, depending on what country you're deployed to, it's illegal to even have sex. It's breaking a General Order and made perfectly clear before deploying. It's the same with alcohol (except under exceptional circumstances). Do people still drink and have sex while deployed? Yes, but they know what'll happen if they get caught.

Hell, I currently work with a guy who's wife is in the same unit as us. They'll be deploying together when we go back to Afghanistan, and since they're married will be able to share a room. We have to actually look into getting them a memorandum signed so that they can legally have sex during deployment.

In all honesty, the reason the General probably even mentioned court martial for getting pregnant was as a scare tactic. When a unit is about to deploy it's common for their to be a sharp rise in the pregnancy of female soldiers so they then have to stay back. The same thing happens in country too. A lot of soldiers really hate it and feel it makes the whole unit look bad. Especially the women who tough it out. Some of them have a hard enough time trying to fit in as an equal to male soldiers and they just see the whole thing as setting them back.

According to the AP, an oil pipeline in Iraq was bombed today. The bombing has since cut production at a Baghdad refinery in half.

According to the AP, the Sunni Party has officially dropped out of Iraq's national elections.
