I am not completely certain of all the facts in this for now.

In failing to disclose the $750,000 (increased to 1 million) was from his wife's employer... Cruz engaged in an illegal act.

Again until more confirmation on the facts. But if true Cruz is done. Trump might have unofficially secured the nomination. Most of Cruz's voters is going to Trump.

Kind of hypocritical for him to call out "New York values and greed" while taking a loan from the one bank that is synonymous with greed.

John Kasich is making a resurgence in New Hampshire, finishing 2nd place in several major polls. There may still be hope after all!

I don't see any other candidate aside from Kasich ( who has zero shot) able to grow the GOP base.

The only way the GOP wins is if something catastrophic happens in the next 10 months, which could very well happen.

Hillary needs to be indicted. The Economy needs to crash. Some crazy foreign relations incident happens. That's what the GOP needs to win the White House.

Depressingly enough, all three of those things could very well happen.

Exactly, which is why the Republicans need to ensure someone like Trump doesn't become their nominee. This is exactly how a Peter Sellers movie starts.

Remember kids your parents want to murder all your brothers and sisters. Tell them no.

I haven't really been following this thread, but do Republicans really want any of these candidates? I mean, none of them even believe in climate change, which would likely lead to disastrous policies that doom the planet. These are people trying to strip people of rights while promoting religious doctrine as laws, when they claim to believe so strongly in the constitution when it comes to guns, yet fail to recognize its' most important part - the separation of church and state. Can anybody take any of them seriously?

I'm in no way anti-republican, but this has EASILY got to be the worst group of candidates I've ever seen in my lifetime in any party.

Plenty of republicans and americans dont believe in climate change. Or evolution. And more than a few believe women dont have the right to an abortion. And that gays shouldnt be allowed marry. Some dont even think gays have a right to life. Some think america should be ruled by their interpretation of the law of their version of the Christian god. Etc.

In short, yeah there are republicans anf unaffiliated americans who will vote for one of those fools.

You are anti-Republican.

I side with the Republicans when it comes to the second amendment and foreign policy...but abortion, gay marriage, planned parenthood or whatever they're on the soapbox about - in these areas, I'm a firm believer in the individual's freedom to make whatever choices, or live whatever lifestyle they want. Life's too short not to.

TL;DR they keep harping on any of the things I mentioned, they'll likely find themselves growing more and more insular.

I guess I meant to say I'm not against them for the sake of it, haha. But there is a difference between disagreeing with something and being anti/against something (which is how I would define being anti-Republican). There are plenty of ideas Republicans hold and present that I either respect or agree with, but these candidates are pushing so far, it's getting a bit crazy.

So my question was to the Republicans in this thread (because ya, I'm aware there are tons of people who will vote for these people), because I'm curious as to how they're viewing this push towards the more and more extreme and borderline nonsensical.

Do we even know how they all feel about climate change? It wasn't mentioned ONCE in the last few debates.

You'd be shocked how many God fearing democrats there are that are the exact same. Most Christians believe in the literal translation of the bible. There are a LOT of minority Christians in the US that vote Democratic because they are minorities or poor. There's still an adage that the GOP only care for the rich so many God fearing middle and lower class Americans vote Democratic even if many of their social issues lean far right.
