What Document leads you to believe the Founding Fathers would believe this?
Document ? i am talking about what is moral you don't run your life based on a piece of paper do you. I would hope some on here would live their life on what is moral and ethical and some common sense. That any caring person ( our forefathers) would not have written such a law if they knew how many unnecessary deaths were responsible by this law.
Read the federalist papers. They help explain it but to quickly answer your questions it would appear that it wasn't a right. Hence why our founding fathers wrote it into our Constitution. To protect our country first and foremost against Enemies of our country. The second reason no one likes to hear because it's 'crazy'.
Im just playing devils advocate....![]()

Do you seriously think the government would be afraid of that now?So? The government was not afraid of the people being able to form an army.
True.I could get any of the advanced one man weapons of today and I could wipe out an entire Revolutionary platoon.

Something written down a long time ago sometimes doesn't work. The founding fathers did and do have good ideas for America but times have changed since then. Not everything is exactly the same. I don't think they ever thought about mass murderers with semi-automatic weapons back then.People always put a lot of stock in rights that were written down...but still written by man....we revere "what was written down first"....because that is essentially what the debate about Gun Control is about....
Do you seriously think the government would be afraid of that now?
My question to everyone is this:
If I was president...and immediately banned ALL weapons.
Would that make you safer? I know its a theoretical question...
But I thought its a just question...

Numbers alone say we would be safer. No Gun Shows. No Catalog purchases. No commercial sales. Guns would be antiques passed down instead of weapons sold on the corner.
Math says that we would be safer.
