Disney/Pixar's Onward

I like the raccoon unicorns.

It was an effective tease, but I'm curious to see what the movie is really about.

I have to be honest, I wasn’t 100% convinced til I saw the trailer. Now I think it’s cute. I would totally watch this as a cartoon series actually. Is this the first post laterrer Pixar movie?

The first few seconds of the trailers are funny to me because when you think about it, high fantasy movies are actually really rare. So this film is a "unique" spin on a genre of movies that pretty much doesn't even exist.

It's cute. The two moons reminds me of the 'world of two moons' in the Elfquest comics.

Given the Thor / Starlord riff jokes in the MCU, Pratt totally sounds like Hemsworth in this.....

I hope that's Chris Pratt's character just doing impressions, and not his voice for the entire movie...

It looks like a typical animated film, nothing looks too special.

I'm getting the Good Dinosaur vibes from it.

Holland's Onward character sounds like a less caffeinated Peter Parker.

And the teaser didn't do anything for me. The premise is certainly original but is it good or another Good Dinosaur type flop?

Pixar's stories have always been what if's.

What if...your toys were alive?
What if....bugs had their own issues to deal with?
What if....the paintings on the sides of vans from the 70s actually had story behind them? :o

This being Pixar I'm pretty sure it's gonna be heartwrenching and hit home for a lot of dudes that didn't know their father or something.

I'm already seeing DreamWorks comparisons. Damn Grace Randolph.

Yep. Like what is the actual adventure. I really liked the tease, but I want to know exactly what I am suppose to be getting excited for. Actually, this reminds me of the Brave teaser. A movie I really do enjoy, but ended feeling the adventure itself wasn't everything it could have been.

Oh ****, I just looked up the story... this sounds heavy.

I prefer it to hearing his normal voice at this point really. :funny:

Very happy Holland is the main character. Did not know that. I didn't want to go on an this adventure with Pratt alone.

This seems cool with a very interesting idea. It honestly reminds me of Bright but hopefully done a lot better.

Pixar trailers haven't had the best rep for a long while now. Most of us thought Toy Story 4 was gonna blow by the marketing alone... and it thankfully didn't.

Sure, it might not be the case with this movie, but I'm leaning more towards optimism than skepticism. The teaser did what it had to do: tease. As for what the movie will be about, I think the plot synopsis makes that clear.

I thought that trailer they showed was new with TS4. Guess not.

If Pixar trailers are an issue, why would you assume a bad one would mean anything about the quality of a movie?

This looks fine. I’m getting a little tired of the buddy angles in these movies, and as much flak Marvel gets for female leads, only Brave and Inside Out have had female leads. It would be more interesting if it was a male/female pairing.

How many have been siblings?

For a lot of reasons? The marketing for Toy Story 4 didn't exactly pull me in and convince me it was gonna be a worthy sequel.

On the other hand, The Good Dinosaur had good trailers, and we know how that turned out.

Gosh Tom and Chris would be such a cute couple
