Disney+

I'm guessing they'll announce when Wakanda Forever comes to Disney+ after this weekend because they were holding out until after the holidays to squeeze out some extra box office returns over the holidays.

yep, think so.
Tomorrow they’ll release the “coming in January”-video.

The japanese Disney plus already listed it for January

Nothing about Wakanda Forever in the January trailer but I'm seeing reports that it's supposed to drop on January 20th.

I cancelled my Sub since they didnt release Secret Invasion and seeing the Line Up for January, I dont regret it.

Back in June, MoM wasn’t included in the promo as well. They announced it separately.
Makes no sense to market the Disney plus release in February, when Quantumania should be in the center of attention.

Didn’t Eternals come on to Disney+ mid January last year too? BP WF will probably follow the same schedule.
Yeah, pretty much all of the MCU movies with the exception of Multiverse of Madness have hit Disney+ 60-70ish days after their theatrical release so I'm inclined to believe Wakanda Forever will drop on the 20th.

That'll be 82 days since its theatrical release. I'm assuming Iger is throwing the hammer down with pushing back streaming releases to make as much as they can from the box office.

So learned if you want to keep the legacy bundle with Hulu, you must not change your subscription at all. If you do, you're stuck with the Disney Basic and Premium bundle options only. I wanted to change over to Hulu with no ads and it warned me by doing so, I will lose the legacy bundle.

no, I think it has to do with the theatrical releases of the other MCU movies. I bet Quantumania will be released before the theatrical release of Guardians Vol.3. Because it won’t do well when Guardians is released and those two are direct competitors at the BO (other than WF and Avatar 2).
I bet 60-70 days after it’s theatrical release (Quantumania).

Imho that was the reason for MoM being so early on Disney plus (2 weeks before Thor L&T)…not because it wasnt overperforming at the BO

Quantumania will be well on its way out of theaters by the time GOTG Vol. 3 comes out so I don't think there's as much worry about competition there.

It’s a good strategy if they space out the theatrical releases enough so that they land on Disney+ before the next movie arrives in theaters. I’m guessing GOTG3 will be on Disney+ during the first week or two of July before the Marvels come out on July 28th.

yep, that’s why I think it won’t harm the box office result, if they put it on Disney plus then

Is the Marvel Lucas Libre special not available in the US? I saw that it was supposed to premier on the 18th but I didn't see it.

February will be only Wakanda Forever for me.
Third dissapointing month in a row…
I guess I‘ll switch to monthly subscription, when my anual subscription expires.

edit: just learned we‘re finally getting Princess Bride - that will be a highlight for me

It's kind of funny that I finally got Disney+ 2 months ago because it had all the Marvel, Star Wars and Disney Animation content, but I've barely scratched the surface of those and instead I've been working through shows like The Orville, Futurama and just about finished all 7 seasons of Hill Street Blues (a truly great show, far better than similar shows airing now).

I'll probably finally watch Wakanda Forever today. For whatever reason I never got around to seeing it in theaters.

Definitely going to watch BP WF over the weekend. Didn’t see it in theaters either.

I may just wait to watch it again until next week when I buy the 4K. I can hold out another couple of days.

Is there non anti-vaxxer cut?

...I'll still watch it out of MCU loyalty, but didn't go to the theater for this reason.

My free Disney+ is "fine" for this and Ant-Man 3.

Yeah, can be good marketing for the upcoming film too.

Well, that was a bloated mess… yes, MBJ stole his scene, Danai ruled, and Tenoch was magical.

Every time Letitia was on screen, I checked out. It’s sad, if you told me she’d take the mantle after that first film - I’d be so happy. But, she ruined that.

Honestly expected more of a tribute to T’Challa… the funeral had a lot of bad cgi and the most important aspect of his legacy was pushed into the post-credits.
