Disney+

We now know what Iger's pet project was on Disney+. The last three episodes of the Imagineering Story. But seriously, episode 4 is like the nicest roasting ever. :funny:

I assume the last two episodes will be big on the Iger hype. Which to be fair, he deserves.
Yeah, the next one's synopsis is already puffing up Iger. But I find it a bit hard to argue with as I think they've been turning out a lot of quality. Surely we'll get a lot on fixing DCA and Cars Land, but I'm curious what else they'll pick out for it. Given the earliest thing they have listed for episode 6 opened in 2016, I assume they'll stick to before that. Maybe the Star Tours update, fixing Hong Kong Disneyland, Frozen Ever After, or the various Toy Story Lands. Give me some Mystic Manor stuff.

Episode 6 is Shanghai, Avatar, Marvel and Star Wars. It seems pretty packed, but I'm hoping there's a last segment for upcoming projects like Fantasy Springs and the Epcot overhaul.

It kinda bugs me that they don't have the MCU films in order. Not even an "Infinity Saga" Collection or whatever. Their order in the Marvel section seems totally random. I know it ain't by popularity because Thor 2 is the 6th listed and TWS is the last. :funny: Maybe they'll do a collection once they have them all on there.

If you have not watched the Forky Has a Question shorts, you really need to be watching the Forky Has a Question shorts.

I haven't seen it myself but my nephew said there's a list of how to watch the MCU in order. Supposedly it has Captain America: First Avenger then Captain Marvel, Iron Man and so on

Kinda random, but is it wrong that i watched more of Spider-Man TAS as a kid than X-men TAS? I watched both but Spider-Man TAS way more.

I did too. Sorry but Jean and Jubilee annoyed me.

Well at least Spider-Man TAS animation remains the same though it's run, unlike the last season of X-Men TAS.

at times they were hahaha. Spider-man TAS hooked me more for some reason.

haha speaking of, I still laugh when there's reused scenes in Spider-Man TAS from prior episodes. Its kinda crazy they didn't allow punches either, but that didn't bother me tbh.

Jubilee was annoying at times but overall I enjoyed X-Men more. Am biased more towards X-Men in general than Spidey though but I really do feel it's the better show

I’m finding X-Men TAS didn’t age as well. The voice acting and certain characters kinda grate on me now. Whereas Spider-Man TAS remains just as great as I remember.

Fridays is a good day for Disney +. Got through new episodes already for The Mandalorian, The World According To Jeff Goldblum and The Imagineering Story!

There's a documentary about Marvel and the MCU that I'm pretty sure is new

I watched and have still watched way more of Spiderman TAS then Xmen to but i am also just a much much bigger spiderman fan then i am xmen. I have seen spiderman show ever episode multiple times. The xmen show on the other hand i think i have only seen a small fraction of the show. I think i am going to try to watch all of xmen now that i have easy access to it.

I have heard people bring that up before and i still have no idea like what people are talking about. The punching thing did bother me. Over all the action was not that great because not only the punching thing but way to often spiderman would get hit like once and then be down and in like a pickal or something. Its like wait i thought you had super streagth and could take a darn hit lol. Still love the show though.

I feel like this episode of the Imagineering Story wasn't quite as good as the last few, but it had some good material. And it gave me the Mystic Manor stuff I wanted, so I'm good with it. I do feel like it felt much more company PR, but I was expecting that going in. It's interesting that they have an Alice figure with an internally projected face in the background of one of the interviews. I remember rumours of the Alice ride getting new projection face animatronics back when they redid it, didn't realize the idea had made it as far as actually building the figure before they decided not to install it.

I also just noticed they announced a behind the attraction show as well. Looking forward to that, sounds like I may get the deeper dive on some of these I was hoping for.

There's another series called Day One or something like that and it seems to focus on employees in general. Looks good too but haven't seen it yet

I have been hearing everone prasing that one but i have not watched it either. I will have to check it out.

I am sampling Disney+ and outside of The Mandalorian, I am struggling to see why anyone outside of hardcore Disney fans would want to pay the subscription cost for this right now.

Every time I turn it on I try to find something I want to watch on it and just end up sampling Mandalorian again, and I don't even like the Mandalorian THAT much (but the Jawa and Baby Yoda scenes keep me coming back).

Half the new content is documentaries that basically serve to talk about how wonderful Disney is--like, this is straight up Disney's propaganda channel, North Korea style. The other half is the Encore show, which is incredibly boring, and the High School Musical TV show, which is a High School Musical TV show.

Smart move would be to wait a year or so and then get this. Right now its library can't hold a candle to any of the established streamers, unless people are just really into streaming Disney movies they've already seen many times.

If I were you I'd just cancel. Unlike the cable bundle there is no reason to prolong the misery. This service will not be for eveyone, despite it's best efforts to try and be.

I could not disagree more. There is enough stuff on there that i dont known if i will ever watch it all. Its not just the movies but there are so many great old cartoon shows to watch on there. I think there is way more to watch then other Streams. Just sounds like you are picky when it comes to disney.

They will build up the originals over time, but the price point is so great because they want people to be patient while they do.

Also remember that unlike Netflix and HBO Max, this is a more specific brand-oriented 4 quadrant service. It's the bundle with Hulu and the added Fox content that will be the comparable to other services. In terms of in-demand content, Disney and WB are the dominant IP powerhouses, followed by Comcast. If they don't mismanage their assets and platforms on a business and technical level, they should be successful, although Comcast seems more interested in slowing the bleeding of their cable business at this point. We should know more about Peacock soon.
