Disney+

Will be good to finally get as complete an MCU on there as we’re likely to get.

It really bothers me that they don’t have the movies in their proper order in the Marvel movies section. People shouldn’t have to look up the correct order to watch them in. They should display it in order like a TV show, imo.

What order are we talking? Chronological or should they be in release date order? Either Captain America or Iron Man?

Release order. They could do the chronological one as a separate "Collection," but they should be there in the order that they were originally released and intended to be seen in, imo. Either would be better than this random, presumably algorithm-based one they're in now, though .

I get that. I typically watch in release too but occasionally I go by the time the movies are set in.

I've been following the MCU since the day Iron Man was released but sometimes forget the chronological or release order. Have to google it up!

I've been meaning to do one of those chronological MCU binges one of these days. Never watched them that way before. I think it would bug me that the earliest MCU scenes are in the Thor movies, so even watching them in chronological order, there would still be scenes NOT in chronological order, lol.

True. Thor messes up that though I look at it as Cap was the precurser to the Avengers even if Thor is several thousand years older. :funny: Most of Thor is set in modern times though.

Reminder: watch the language in the tweets you post, pls.

I just "added" them into my watchlist in the chronological order.

We should be able to make playlists on these tv/film apps, like Spotify. I'd make director "playlists" and such, it'd be amazing.

When Disney+ first came out, they had the MCU movies in release date order in one of their playlists/collections. But they also had the animated tv series in there too in release date order. Not sure if that collection section is still there though.

So apparently Disney+ is censoring the Lotus Casino scenes in Percy Jacson and the Lightning Thief. :wall:

Edit: There seems to be conflicting reports so this may be a regional issue.

That would be amazing and oh so wonderful if that became the standard in streaming services. Spotify are genius for that and I take advantage of it!

That would make things more fun. You could curate your own block of TV or have a movie marathon.

What's everyone think of. Disney+ ending the free trial?

This would be such a great feature.

I'd also like to see a video game section. Trailers for Disney IP games such as Kingdom Hearts, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Marvel's Avengers. Star Wars and maybe a documentary series on the history of big Disney games like Epic Mickey and Disneyland Adventures

Interesting that they make it sound like it's in front of a live audience. My impression was that it was filmed with the original cast over several days so I wouldn't think there would be an audience.

They do a lot of official recordings of original Broadway productions for posterity (which I think are stored in the Lincoln Center archives), and while some of those recordings are rehearsals, I think the majority of them are in front of an audience, even if they were filmed on a few different nights. Much like a lot of concert films, they just edit together the best “takes” from each night into a singular performance.

Disney should really release their Broadway shows on D+, I mean it’s not the same as seeing it live and in color but it’s still a sight to be seen. I saw the Lion King twice and the Broadway version is still my favorite iteration of it. Also saw Toni Braxton years ago when she did Beauty and the Beast and Aida, excellent shows.

But again, recording their Broadway productions would be a nice addition for this service.

Good call. I would totally watch all these, and seeing them wouldn’t stop me from also watching them live when the opportunity arose. As you say seeing them live is a different experience.
