Disney's Enchanted

Saw it last night.....wasn't as good as I hoped it would be.

Saw it today. Loved it to death. :)

The movie is so sweet, it makes your teeth hurt. Amy Adams is simply  , and she completely carries the film all the way. Patrick Dempsey does his job as a strong lead, and James Marsden is priceless as Prince Edward. PRICELESS. It's a terrific family escapist flick that I had a blast with. Take the kids and have a damn good time at the movies.

9/10

I confess I went, and bought a ticket for American Gangster and snuck into this one. :o I chickened out. It was a good movie nonetheless though. I honestly think every dude on Earth, no matter how callous, would want Giselle...that babe is THAT likeable.
The animated parts were well done, and of course Pip the chipmunk was a favorite character. He just seemed to be getting more and more pissed over the course of the movie since he couldn't speak in his Jersey-like voice anymore once he hit New York.

Fantastic reviews so far, everyone on the board who's seen it seems to like it and I am a fan of mixing live action with animation(Who Framed Roger Rabbit was a classic, Space Jam was fun as well) and I like James Marsden. This should be very fun, I plan on seeing it either tomorrow or Sunday.

For about 100 minutes, this film made me forget about all the problems going on in my life and all the fears and questions I have about the state of the world and where it's headed.

....That is, until I walked out the theatre and reality slapped me across the face like a purple-clad pimp. I  you, Giselle. :(

I couldn't even think about sex after watching this movie. I just wanted to hug a rainbow and cuddle with the sun.

*sigh* :meow:

I hated the trailer. But it was cut in a way too appeal to kids, so I'll give it a chance. Take my GF and not tell a soul I saw it. I got enough crap for the Princess Diaries and uptown Girls :cmad:

Brittany Murphy, Anne Hathaway = Hot. Especially Anne, they just happened to be in movies that were OK. Stupid friends.

Saw it yesterday. Great movie. 9/10

Enchanted manages to carefully balance elements that kids and adults will love without falling back on the stupid kick-to-the-balls type of family humor. Even though the cutesy Disney cartoon traditions are spoofed, this is done in a funny gentle way instead of the dumbed-down easy sarcastic mockery seen in the Shrek movies.

Amy Adams is simply adorable and totally owns the whole movie. Sweet, but not preachy or contrived. Funny, but not too childish. Perfect date movie!

If Disney can keep making clever films like this, perhaps they can catch up with Pixar after all.

Well, they are one and the same now, so whoever does better, Disney takes all the credit.

I'm sure fanboys will be clamoring for these characters to be in Kingdom Hearts 3 or some ****.

AND?!??!...*punches you in the stomach*

yall make me want to see this...I think I will take my babies next weekend.

Yeah, but in my mind Pixar = awesome writing and storylines, while Disney = lame mainstream pandering.

Perhaps that will change. In watching the credits for Enchanted I noticed that some special effects were done by Weta and Lucasfilm, so I guess Disney movies are more of a community effort these days.

Yeah, that chipmunk looked pretty well done. I assume either of those two worked on him.

Pip was actually one of the weaker elements in the film. Just got kinda annoying after a while, IMO.

(sorry it wont let me quote)

Pip was awesome in this and I cant believe you think he got old fast. Amy Adams got old fast imo.

I just saw it tonight, I thought it was really good. Amy Adams was perfect as the ditsy princess and James Marsden was just as good playing Prince Edward, this has got to be his best role! I loved the animated parts, and I'm glad they went with the old school hand drawn animation, really fit well like one of the Disney classics. I also liked how they drew from certain parts of the older Disney animated pictures. I got a kick out of seeing a real life version of the Wicked Witch(who scarily looked like Darth Sidious) [blackout]The final act where she becomes a dragon was my favorite part.[/blackout]. Nathan reminded me a lot of Peter Petigrew, I believe it may have been the same looking rat guy. Oh and there were a few musical/dance numbers, all of which were great.

A very fun movie, I'm sure kids will love it

A good fun movie. Worth the price of seeing it in theaters and may pick this up on dvd when it comes out in that format.

great fun Disney movie.....I like the central park song.....the girl brought the princess to life...

and I love when witch said"oh I didn't see this plot twist coming"...LOL

I don't think so. In the past 12 years I think audiences have realized that Pixar is the company doing great movies while Disney has been the one ruining its classics with direct to DVD sequels.
