Bow to the Queen!! :hrt:

Still cant get over how powerful Let it go is. Its been a long time since I heard a disney song such as this.

It looks like a beautiful film. I'm just not into singing...

then you probably won't like it, as this is essentially a broadway musical. :csad:

however, you'd be missing out on a great film.

We're seeing a new era in Disney animated cinema. Some have called it 'The Revival', I like that name. :)

Revival works!!

also, watching Let It Go in hd again just reminds how awesome that sequence and song is......and how beautiful Elsa is!!

I like the Revival, too.

oh, and someone else pointed this out about Hans:

When Elsa has that thug pinned to the wall with her ice spikes, and the thug's going to fire on her, Hans looks at the thug, then quickly looks up to the chandelier, before going over and aiming the thug's bow at the chandelier. It's very quick, but it means that Hans was really trying to kill Elsa during that scene!! :wow:

just scroll down a bit on this page and look at the gifs:

Whooooa! That's...wow. Just amazed at the level of detail and subtlety. :applaud

and I completely missed that nuance in my viewing.

Man, I keep watching that "Leg It Go" video. Such a strong set of pipes on Elsa.

Somebody ruined the twist for me beforehand so I actually did notice that little look because I was constantly waiting for some "wham" moment.

Let It Go is a great sequence but I do wish
they'd done more with the ice castle after going through that whole big sequence to create it. The only thing that really happens there is Anna finds Elsa and then Hans comes along and captures Elsa and that's the last we see of it. I don't imagine Elsa would ever go back there once she becomes Queen again so it's simply abandoned.

It's probably gone.

spoiler about Ice Castle:

There's an after credit ( or maybe mid credit ) scene, which I missed but saw it online. The big snowman, Marshmallow, returns to the Ice Castle. He almost steps on Elsa's crown, looks around and sees no one there, then puts the crown on himself and smiles, with a little white light shining down on him. So I guess Marshmallow is the new king of the Ice Castle............lol

I know that I was discussing the twist here before the film came out, so I really hope I wasn't the one who ruined it for you. :(

I knew about the twist, but thankfully I completely forgot about it before I watched the movie. :woot:

lol.

how did you like the movie, btw??
Definitely one of the best animated movies I've ever seen. Disney really improved since John Lasseter became their chief creative officer.

Watching it in their studio theater in Burbank was a big plus.

Awesome!! :woot:

I think it's funny in retrospect how Hans says, "I've been searching my whole life to find my own place." and "With you I've found my place, and it's nothin' like I've ever known before." during "Love is an Open Door", he's literally just talking about Arrendelle and not Anna at all. He even turns and points toward the kingdom as he sings that first line. So funny. It's actually more enjoyable to re-watch just to notice Hans' little underhanded mannerisms and words. Like when he calls Anna ordinary and then quickly takes it back so she's not offended. :funny:

And when Kristoff is singing "Reindeer Are Better Than People", he says "People will beat you and curse you and cheat you." I know he's talking about the shop keeper when he says "cheat you", but could the other lines be hinting at his harsh life as a kid with parents? Maybe they were bad people, so he ran away as a little boy and found Sven and eventually the trolls. Or of course, he could just be talking about general past experiences he's had with other people in his life. Meh, maybe I'm reading waaaaay too much into it. I'm bored.
