grabbed this at the redbox at midnight to remember if itd end up being worth the buy...yeah...so buying this.
 
I can't afford to buy any movies this week........so I bought it anyway. sigh It's freaking District 9. I can't resist!!
 
I just got my fooking copy of the blu ray two disk, I'll review it later tonight!
 
Cant wait for this to come out over here on BD, will definately be getting it first day of release.
 
So pumped right now. Just got the email my Blu-Ray copy of D9 shipped...as well as Inglorious Basterds and The Hangover. :)

A few days ago, I preordered all the remaining films I liked this year aside from ones that already came out of course. Although I haven't seen Moon or The Hurt Locker yet, I also preordered them as well since I've been hearing so many great things about them.

I still wanna get Basterds, Hangover, Star Trek and Jennifer's Body, which comes out next week. Even know I know alot didn't like it and that's all I want.
 
gosh man...the hangover, inglorious, and district 9 are making me bankrupt...and im deciding whether to buy might get loud...yeesh
 
I may get this on blu ray and just skip 'the fly' bits which made me sick to my stomach

I just got done watching the film a while ago and damn I almost teared up at the end. With his wife talking and you see him as a prawn.

The making of feature on the dvd is pretty good also. Into three different part. Pre-production,filming and testing out sounds and tweaking the look of the Prawns.
 
Yes! I just came back from Best Buy and now I have my BD copy of the film. Gonna watch it tonight, I'm so psyched :woot:
 
Why does it seem to me they changed the "fooking" in the Blu-Ray?

You damn right there will be a sequel, im guessing Christopher johnson will bring reinforcements, he will free his alien buddies, he will give wikus the cure, they will fight back agaisnt the MNU, and at the end Wikus decides to live as a prawn and go with Johnson to his planet.

okay that last part was to much like Avatar. :hehe:

hey you never know, maby he sees that his wife has moved on and lets not forget that he's the most wanted man
 
I can't wait to buy this on Blu-ray. I might after Christmas if I get extra cash for it. My favorite movie of this year and possible even the 2000s era. Can't praise or love it enough.
 
I think if they make a sequel and a cure is brought back, he'll take it. I think the end eluded to him missing his wife, and wanting to be back with her. They may have her move on to throw a wrench in the story, but ultimately I can't see him leaving the planet. It would be bad writing.
 
This is a good film that alot of people missed but it should do really well on dvd.
