Meaning, for example, if a guy has friends who are mostly *******s does that make him one; or if a woman with a man in her life has friends who are ****s does that make her one too?

Not definitively.

But to some extent others will judge you by the people you associate with. Its just the way things are.

I think it says something about you but it doesn't define you.

Depends how close the friends are. For me personally, alot of the people I just hang out with aren't that much like me. But my good friends and I are very similar. Different styles, personalities, etc., but as far as what kind of people, we are almost the same.

So it does to a degree, but not very specifically.

it doesn't necessarily mean you are like your friends but it can cause others to judge you. look at it this way, if you are hanging out on the street at night with prostitutes then everyone is going to think you are one too.

of course, you're going to hang out with people who are like you. i hate people who drink. why would i hang out with them then?

If your just talking about whether people judge others by their friends, yes, they definitely do.

Yes this is why people try so hard to be around the powerful. If you roll with profesionals ppl assume you are one too, just as if you roll with a bunch of jackasses.

The rule does not apply if you roll with pretty people and you are an uggo.

Amen to that. I'm glad my effort and attempts to mingle with the powerful isn't all for nothing.

And, before you attack me. No, I'm not shallow, I like everybody. :)

You can judge a man by the company he keeps.
