do superheroins need sex appeal to be successful? Would women like Huntress, Sue Richards, Rogue, Harley Quinn and others need to be sex kittens to sell books?

Personally, I'm kind of tired of artists who are all boobs and muscles. I'd rather have characters who look like actual human beings.

Personally, it doesn't matter to me. Some of my favorite female characters have no sex appeal at all. Cassandra Cain Batgirl (no offense to anyone who thinks Cassandra is hot), Layla Miller, etc.

That said, I couldn't imagine a hot-looking Harley Quinn. Or Wonder Woman. Or whoever. It's not a must for the characters, but it's definitely an added bonus. So to speak.

That is a very important question.I would say yes to a degree,the artwork can be a huge factor.But with iconic characters like Wonder Woman or Storm..it does not matter.

The other day my sister was looking through my Encyclopedia of Marvel comics and she pointed out that every woman in the book had large breasts. Even the smaller breasted woman.
