Yeah, but even with atheism, you're still glorifying something, so it could be considered a religion by some. I didn't necessarily say it is.

Atheism is just a belief no god. There's nothing to practice about it, no worshiping, no nothing, just living life.

no there not.. they just live life and don't practice or worship anything. thats the whole point of atheism. Just because Christianity might be telling you that, doesn't mean squat.

i'm sorry but there is no god there for i'm great doesn't make logical sense. the existance or not of a god does not change how great you are or believe you are. that is unless you believe a god is telling you are great and who are you to question him. or perhaps you'd feel pretty great (and thus worth glorifying) if a omnipotent being created you as his most special creation.

but hey maybe your right, perhaps i should practice danalysism and glorify myself. wait a minute athiesm isn't danalysism or even selfism.

I don't see how being an atheist would automatically mean that one glorifies oneself. I know plenty of atheists who are humble enough and regular folk. They just don't think that God is real is all.

I'd say the one thing that we come even close to "glorifying" is rationlality.

That's why I didn't assume it's true for everyone - every "group" has sub-groups within it, as I'm sure you know.

I don't think they glorify anything. "To glorify" to me implies a conscious action, like me trying to behave well to glorify God and provide a good example. Most of the atheists I know simply live their lives, not trying to present any particular example of anything but a regular human life.

the point is you could glorify anything and it wouldn't be a part of you being an atheist. since atheisim dosen't demand you glorify anything in particular to be an athiest. but i do agree that rationality is a good thing to glorify tho. you know as an independant being, with his own thoughts, only nessersarily connected to other athiests by a non belief in gods.
