That's the thing. I thought my job was great when I first started. Now I sort of dread going in. But it's not as bad as when I worked in BT. Now THAT was a ****ty job. I can keep things in perspective, and I know there are alot worse jobs out there, and I do very little work to actually earn my money. But still. The boredom ****ing kills me. Whiney customers on the phone piss me off.

Yes and no, I've worked in the video game industry for 12 years now and I still play too many damn games, except I won't play the games I work on with a ten foot pole, so I guess it's partly right.

For me, thankfully the industry and it's technology change at a good rate to keep things interesting, and moreso challenging, which is why I haven't impaled myself on my devkit yet.

I just got assigned to a new office, so I'm very happy right now that I'm not doing what I used to do (computer security). It was a hellish nightmare that often gave me anxiety pains in my neck and lower back.

This new job seems very detail oriented but there are standard procedures in place instead of the mess that was the last office.

I used to work manual labor type jobs...I never thought I'd whine about office work. But man...Office Space is right on the money.

My job wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the hours. We close at 12am and can't leave until 12:30, and then you can't just go home and relax because sometimes if you work that late you'll still have to be there in the morning.

Sometimes my job is fun as hell, other days I feel like im living in hell. I dont know whether I like my job or not, kinda weird.

I'm not too sure yet. I just had my first day as a telemarketer for Canadian magazines. There's only so much I can take of "Not interested *CLICK!*". I can't imagine doing this for the next year, 5 to 10 hours a day, just sitting there almost afraid for someone to answer the phone to yell at me. I don't take rejection easily. The time went by pretty quick, though.

This is true. When I applied for a part-time job at a movie theater when I was in high school, I thought it would be just free movies and popcorn. It turned out that I didn't get to see that many movies while I working (because of school and work) and by the time I had quit my job, I hated even the sight of popcorn. It's been years since that job and I don't hate popcorn as much, but at the time I would get nausious from the smell.

I worked in a theater once. Coming to America was out and ran forever on one screen and Dundee II ran forever on the other screen. For a whole month it was the same two movies over and over again.

I just quit my telemarketing job after one day. People are such *****es sometimes. I don't even get the chance to say that we're offering big name magazines for practically nothing before they say 'I'm not interested *click*', or 'You people really bug me. Take me off your list and don't call again *slam*'. This isn't telemarketing. This is planned rejection. Not healthy. I'll get enough of this being an actor. I don't need it in my day-job, too.

Kinda. Sorta. It has its good days and bad days. Bit bored at moment. Could be worse, I guess. But if I could do it all again, I wouldn't do veterinary at college. No way.

Telemarketing/sales only really works if you're calling businesses, as they're pretty much stuck talking to you when at work and cant' give any excuse aside from being busy. Calling people at home, they have full on rights to just pull any kind of **** when they say no.

Yes, I do. I work at my university- One job I work is a labtech for the IT department. I mainly just sit in the labs at a desk and do homework and post online.

The other is working as a writing consultant for the University Writing Center. When there's no clients I can do homework or whatever, and when I do have consultations, it's usually pretty rewarding helping students and grad-students become better writers.

i work at a coffee shop. its a rush, and then its a drag. we have open-mic nights too, but the people that come in mostly suck.

we do get all the free drinks we want tho, as a result i get headaches when i dont have caffeine during the day.
