If so, how far over the speed limit? Why so fast, or why so slow? Dicuss.

Usually I do around 10-15 over the speed limit on highways, and 5-10 over for 30 MPH zones.

5's my limit. I've gone over that, of course, but only accidentally.

Sometimes around 5-10. When I have someone riding my ass, I do the limit to piss them off

I don't illegally surpass the speed limit.

On occasion, I sometimes do it to catch up to people. And sometimes, well, just once, I did it to see if i could get home before Free Bird ended. I was so close...

I'll probably go 5MPH over the speed limit sometimes. It's not worth getting a ticket or being in an accident.

Hell, nevermind...

I drive a 95 chevy that would probably explode if I went over 65mph. I haven't realy sped in the past couple years but when I do it's quite fun.

I don't go over the limit in built up areas where there is a lot of houses which could mean a lot of kids around.

But if I'm on a road that is a 30 zone and there is NOTHING around you bet your ass I'm going over the limit.

I remember my driving instructor used to let me do 100 on the motorway if it wasn't too busy. And I used to over take fellow learners. :hehe: Just because you're a learner doesn't mean you can drive slow!!!

Yes. I've done 80-85mph in a 55mph zone when passing big trucks (gasoline trucks, lumber trucks, etc)

It's always :awesome: and I like gunning it.

Can! They were just cans!

No, I don't speed. I don't need to look cool getting a ticket in front of my friends.

I go 5-10 mph over cuz I can and the cops don't ticket you for it. I think it's 12mph and over they will pull you over.

Down here around one area, called Newport (No, not named after the smokes) it's 3 miles over I heard. Crazy.

Yeah, sometimes. I'll go with traffic most of the time, as it can be dangerous and counterproductive no to. 5 over most of the time. Had some friends who were cops. Most cops will give you 10 miles over on a highway, and five in a residential area. I've long believed we need a Speed Range, not a Speed Limit.

No more than 10% of the speed limit over, or 10km/hr over, personally.

THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE. HOUND DOES NOT ADVOCATE BREAKING THE LAW.

Here there essentially is.

There's no legal lowest speed limit but you can be charged with driving too slow.

It's like when I lived in Atlanta. The speed limit on I-75 through the city is 55mph, but doing anything less than 70 will get you run over.

In some places in Florida there is a low speed limit on some of the highways.

Yes I speed on the highway. Anywhere between 10-30 km's over the speed limit depending on how late I am. In the city maybe just 5 km's.

I used to go like 30 over on the interstate.

Then I got in trouble for going 13 over on a highway.

Then 12 over on a highway.

Then my license was suspended for a month.

So I was only going 4 or 5 over.

Then I got pulled over going FIVE OVER. On an INTERSTATE.

But I just got a warning. But I go the exact speed limit now.

I'm way too young to be driving so slow, but necessity demands it.

I've gone 220mph with nitros before. But we had made sure that no one was on the road for miles. I go the speed limit though on daily commutes or with other people in the car. It's reckless to speed when other people could get hurt. I've had accidents when going within the speed limit. And I've witnessed crazy things happen when nothing illegal was going on.
