yes, for several reasons...we had to come from somewhere. and since the asteroid that we were on landed here it's highly likely that it came from somewhere and that others went to other places...

Yeah I know. And I don't think it's impossible that there are aliens out there. But even if they were left out of Genesis, what about the rest? Did Jesus go to Mars to die for Marvin too?:woot:

There could definatley be life as in plants, water, etc etc. on other planets, but I dunno about actual aliens.

Well, Jesus does mention tending to other flocks. he could have meant Gentiles, but it's open to interpretation. The alien's redemption doesn't really pertain to us.

Yes, I believe there is. As it's been said already, it's likely not life as we know it and definitely not like we are used to. The odds that there is life out there with two arms, two legs, ten fingers, ten toes, etc....is nil. We evolved the way we are because of the environment we are in. Lifeforms off this planet will evolve differently based on the environment they are in. So no Klingons or Cardassians or anything like that....they are not going to "look" human.

I hadn't thought of it that way. Like different Bibles for different planets. Definately interesting to think about.

I totally believe in Aliens.
I also think that NEVER in a million years would they come over here just to...you know...hover and abduct rednecks.

Yes I think they do exist. There are too many stars with too many planets out there not to allow for the possibility.

Do they have interstellar travel? I honestly don't know. Currently, physics as we understand it would make this very difficult. However, not totally impossible, if they have "generation" or "hibernation" ships it becomes more likely.

Would they come to Earth? Not likely. If I were a member of a space travelling race we would send a remote controlled probe. Once the probe informed us of the war-like creatures inhabiting the planet, not even capable of feeding and clothing their own populace... we'd just fly right on bye looking for the next likely planet with an Intelligent race.

While I don't necessarily believe that we have been visited by ET's, I can understand why some alien races may stop and "study" earth. This is, of course, from a human perspective...but it's the same reason why we study the past. Why we constantly study primates, primitive cultures (tribes in the rainforest and such), dig up dino bones, all that stuff. To try and learn about who we are, where we might have come from, how our world developed. An alien species that can travel through space is obviously light years ahead of us in technology and intelligence. We might be a possible look into their past.

not only do i believe in them, but i believe the government is withholding information on them..what i dont understand is why since there is so much evidence to support the idea and so many people believe they are real.

there are more galaxies than there are grains of sand on the beaches of Earth...

...that right there just shows you the odds of life existing elsewhere. you have to be pretty narrowminded to not believe life exists outside of our planet. just because we haven't found any hardcore evidence in our tiny little solar system doesn't mean it's not out there.

aside from the popular 'grays' there are, supposedly, aliens that look just like us called Pleiadians (pronounced 'PLAY-dee-anz') that say most of mankind are descendants of themselves. i think it's a far stretch, but i'm not closing myself off to that idea. it IS kind of weird that we are drastically different than most animals and are far smarter than any of them. if you wanna know anymore google "Billy Meier" or "Pleiadians".

it's part fact part movie rip off

acording to some scientists life on earth started like in Evolution....asteroid came down to earth after being frozen in space for god knows how long, the heat of the Ozone makes all the little wee frozzen guys spark to life...then a few billion years later...us:yay:

yeh...but think about it...it all makes some sence...i mean...if that sort of thing(asteroid crash, life, plaent explodes sending asteroids everywhere with single cell organisms on) has been going on and on with other planet like ours for billions and billions and billions of years then how did it all start? it hurts my brain:csad: :csad:

If they have the knowledge and capability, SURE they would.

Look at humans. We talk about "If you had a time machine, where would you anna go?"
And people all have an answer, 'cause they'd love to observe this foreign time.

And we all dream of going to Mars someday.

And documentarians go out to the jungle and set up elaborate camoflauge, just to get footage of lesser creatures in their natural habitat, to study their behaviour.

If we had the power to detect another planet that had primative life...alien cavemen say....and we had the fantastically advanced technology to travel that far in a reasonable ammount of time...don't you think WE would have people dying to go and observe, but with a scientific mind-set that would forbid them to interfere and corrupt/tamper with the life systems on the planet below.....?

But then eventually, we've all seen it on PBS.....how many times have we seen a Grizzly Bear, or a Great White Shark, or a Leopard, or a Bull Elephant, etc. being tranquilized from afar, and then, when it passes out, a team of scientists rushes over, starts measuring, studying, and then they hoist the animal into a vehicle, take it to a research facility, implant a radio transmitter....to....track it, study it's behaviour, try to learn more about the species (All reasons that the creature would never in a million years be able to comprehend, it's even oblivious to the transmitter, unless it's one of those collars), and then, before it wakes, they pack it back into the truck, drive back to where they found it, take off, and the animal wakes up all groggy and queasy and goes on with it's lfe.

You think we're the only intelligent life that would feel motivated to do things like that?
I don't think so at all.

Abducting for aliens, could be like cow-tipping for humans.

I for one 100% agree that they exist, it is far too impossible that we are the only inteligent life forms around, well i just want to know how many of you think there is extra terestrial life out there in space.

and do you think we well ever come into contact with them.

They exist and it explains alot of the myserties that exist. But whats really funny is that people can believe god exists yet hes never been seen or heard. Yet someone sees a ufo and they're crazy.

I would like to believe that there is something out there, I just dont think that its what the movies depect, I think it would me more like a micro organisms or something like that.

your saying that in the entire universe, the only planet with anything other than micro organisms is earth? If it happened on earth, then why not other planets? You have to realize that life startes in water. That means that the environmental conditions that were here on earth and drove the evolutionary process to produce much of our under water life, will be present on any earth like planet with a large body of water. Take into consideration that in any body of water, the best design is aero dynamic. The shape of fish. The eyes are obviously going to be in front, because it's better to see where your going than where your coming from. And the mouth would have to be right where the eyes are in order to eat. What's the best location for a brain? Right next to that, to provide faster signal input.

Take into consideration, that if life walks on land, the front two fins will easily become front limbs. And simply physics would promote two back limbs, and the tail is already there, because it was used for swimming.

The family tree has probably started out almost exactly like ours, on trillions of planets. Chances are that many planets also had dionsaur like creatures. Bigger means more prey and less predators, untill an asteroid hits. And chances are there aren't many planets in the universe that don't get hit with doomsday asteroids once every billion years.

Taking into consideration that some type of plant will get really tall to avoid beaten eaten by certain animals, which also would promote animals to get huge. Plants would also compete with other plants for sunlight, and in order to stand up tall that plant needs to be strong, chances are there are many planets with trees.

What do trees=? Opposable thumbs, and roatating shoulders, and that equals the ability to use and make tools, which favors the emergence of strong intelligence.

Chances are there are trillions of intelligent civillizations with primate like humanoid species. They don't have to be mammal. For all we know they could even have scales. They'd still look freaky as hell, and be very different, but the basic body design would be a lot alike.

I've always felt that it's pretty arrogant to assume that we are the only life in this vast, HUGE universe. That just doesn't make sense. I have no proof of life beyond Earth. But there is also no possible way that you can prove there ISN'T life beyond Earth.

I hope not.... who wants to be raped in the mouth, and have a creature burst out of their chest?

not me

I see Ufo's all the time.....

And I've woken up with a few strange marks once or twice.

don't forget having your head and spine ripped out of your body to be hung as a trophy.

nah... if Danny Glover can beat them... they are no threat...

Now something that can kill John Hurt, Ian Holm, Tom Skerrit, Bill Paxton, Paul Rieser, Michael Beihn, Charles S. Dutton, Charles Dance, and Sigorney Weaver... that's something to fear.....
