saw this again they may like it? Like if they lowered their expectations.

Because face it, no matter how this movie was done, people would still find ways to be pissed. I didn't have my expectations at a rocket high level. I was super excited, and I knew it was going to be good, but I wasn't thinking it'd surpass 1 and 2. Why? Well because it's a 3rd movie. That can be hard for them, especially if the first two are huge blockbusters, and the team is trying what they can to make people happy. And being as big as they are, people REALLY like to find ways to rip it apart when it gets this far.

I know some people who liked it better the second time around. I personally loved it, even though it has some flaws. But for a third film, it impressed the hell out of me. I really hate it when this film gets trashed as the worst film of all time, or total garbage. I can see maybe some disappointment, but worst film ever? :o

I've never seen anyone be so irked by what people think about this movie like you are, webhead731. I don't know why you care so much about what other people think about a movie.

Personally I can't even watch the movie now, save for about three or four scenes, and they're mainly action ones.

Why the hell should we lower our expectations? I can't even watch it on HBO...that tells you how much I hate it. I have seen it 3 times and that will probably be all I ever watch it.

Personally, I can't watch any of the Spider-Man movies all the way through anymore.

The Dark Knight, on the other hand...

I suppose I do get a bit carried away.

Its a bad movie. Bad structure, bad ret-cons, bad dialogue. Just....bad. Save for the New Goblin arc. That was the ONLY saving grace of the movie. I really enjoyed the interplay between Harry/MJ/Peter. But even that was contrived at times.

I could care less about Venom- he's a terrible character and this was his worst appearance in any medium so far. The TAS did the origin so well, and the movie could have implemented this- especially with John Jameson already established in the previous movie. Instead they decided to cut corners and have an unexplained meteorite crash conviniently next to where Peter and MJ were. That is BAD writing.

Don't get me started on Sandman being the *true* killer of Uncle Ben. Which damages what we see in Spider-Man 1. It just doesn't have the same effect as it being a random carjacker. It just doesnt feel right. :/

And I dont want to lower my expactations for a movie that could have been as good if not better than 2. It was a lame cash-in. Spider-Man Lite.

The first time I saw Spider-Man 3, I admit I was a little disappointed. I actually did enjoy more the second time, because I knew what to expect. Despite it's flaws, it's still an entertaining movie.

The film has many flaws and I now that enough time has passed, some of the story lines do get to me a bit(Venom's lack of screen time,no explaination of the black suit,Sandman being Ben's killer),but overall,I still like it. Not a great film, but not a bad one either.
