Do you think WB is looking to take Batman in a different direction?

I still wonder what they're going to call this reboot/re-imagining/re-quel/rehash.

Batman Begins Again
The Other Dark Knight
Before Batman Began
Batman Continues
Batman: The First Justice Leaguer
The Man in Black
Legends of the Dark Knight
Gotham's Most Wanted
Does it Come in Black?
The Bat Identity
The Amazing Bat-Man
Bat Dynamite

Batman: Turn off the Lights.

Batman: The Next Knight

I think Batman should be able to live in a world where he fights bad guys like these:
(as well as human criminals and psychopaths and such)

I want the DC comic book version of Batman, I'm talking do the costume exactly like it is in the comics, do the story, the batmobile everything just like the comics.

Nolans Batman is good, but it's Nolans batman, it's not the DC comics Batman!

The costume exactly like in the comics doesn't work on film. Arkham city with grey/black colorscheme is the closes you can ever get. But no decent actor can fill out the suit like the batman in the games/comics/cartoons.

The tone of the Arkham games is absolutely perfect for a movie series.

I want to see Man-Bat.

Arkham games sure, but im just curious..why do people want to see Man-Bat? Wouldnt it be just like The Lizards arc/transformation from TAMS? Im personally not a fan but im not saying it to be an ass, im just curious to know.

Not really, i think that horror feel would be awesome for Batman.

And that's the genre it would exist in, horror. Batman Returns came close but this would be in a completely different way.

I'm being realistic when I say that it's too horror. I said it was too horror for a movie, as in, that's not gonna happen.

Exactly. I do not believe they are looking to lighten the Batman movie franchise up with the reboot. After the flop of the light Batman & Robin and the successes of the dark Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, I think they've learned that dark Batman movies make money. I hope the reboot version will be closer to the iconic Batman comics rather than trying to change everything in an attempt at "realism," but I'm certain it will retain the successful dark look and tone.

Not to defend that film, but Batman & Robin did gross $107 million domestically and a tad more overseas.

Also, the Jim Holmes incident may prod them to moving toward the tone of Kilmer's film or the recent live-action Iron Man films.

I think we haven't really seen Batman fight a supernatural creature villain in live action yet. Poison Ivy kind of was, but it was toned down.

Burton's Catwoman was too vague to explicitly read as supernatural. Count me as another one who wants a more blatant presentation of something like this (Ie: The Mad Monk or Hugo Strange's Monster Men) in future movies. Could be fun to finally see in live action film. I'd even take villains that are more science based than explicitly supernatural like Clayface and Man-Bat for sure. Or even Killer Croc who doesn't really fall under either category.

I really want Clayface as the next villain. He will bring a new direction with his presence, which people want, and will potentially bring a mystery/thriller direction, which people want also.

I also think the continuations should just have the titles of "Batman: *insert catchy title relating to villain or story here*"

Batman: The Phantasm Menace
Batman: Attack Of The League Of Assasins
Batman: Revenge Of The Joker
Batman: A New Robin
Batman: The Penguin Strikes Back
Batman: Return Of The Joker
