Do you want to live to be 100?

I want to live forever.

Seriously. I hate the idea of my own mortality, it completely freaks me the **** out.

I'm not looking forward to death at any point in time, ever.

Living forever would get boring eventually. Maybe by your 20 millionth birthday.

and death ain't so bad. It'll be over before you know it.

Agree on that. The thought of dying is terrifying to me.

100 is a short term goal to me. In my family we are long lived. Heck my grandmother in The Bronx is 101, volunteers at the retirement home where she helps care for people younger than her by sometimes 30 years and plays their piano in the evenings.

Definitely not....besides, i know i'll be dying at a younger age.

Living forever would get boring eventually.

I have hobbies.

I want to live as long as is possible. Then I want my head frozen to be revived and attached to a giant robot body that is indestructible so I can live another 500 years or however long. Then save my blood and clone me.

This is basically like the old question "In a nuclear war, are you the type who wants to be at ground zero, or the type who would want to live?"

Even if I'm in a hole in the back yard with just one can of beans, if it means living an extra two days, I'll take those two days. Survive, survive, survive!

I want to live a long time, but at the same time I am curious about what if anything happens next. I don't believe in heaven or a higher power, but I don't believe in death being the end of existence either.
So I'm in no hurry, but I have come to terms with my own mortality.

Why would you wanna live forever in this dump? :p

I don't think anyone necessarily looks forward to death unless they are really suffering (or are emo). All the same, I don't think it makes all that much sense being horribly afraid of dying. Think about it: you can walk out and cross the street and get hit by a car and die. You could be an unfortunate victim of some mass-murdering sicko (God forbid). You could get sick and die. And even if you manage to avoid all of those things and live a good life, old age will get you.

You might as well take the time you have now and live it up. And who says that dying is always a bad thing anyhow?

I most definitely would love to be 100. Life is full of too many things, and I want to live as long as I possibly can. The experience of existence is too great for me to not want to live as long as I can. Preferably I'd love to live until I'm 500, but things aren't that way so I won't sweat it.

All this is irrelevant...because 2012 is right around the corner. :o

I'm not sure I want to live to an age that I'll be forced to wear diapers and hard to move around, but if I can be relatively healthy and take care of myself, I won't mind living to 100. I'll probably still be spending my time on the Internet or watch sports all day long. Maybe even playing PS75 or Xbox Infinity heh.

The major downside to me, other than the possibility of mental and physical deterioration, is that at 100 it would be entirely possible that you could end up burying your children who die at age 75.

Someone I know told me about an 80+ year old who attended the funeral of his 63 year old son.

He shouldn't have been eating sausages for breakfast, lunch and dinner then.

Any of those things can happen, and they all terrify me.

And yea, even getting old and dying scares me. I am freaked out about just how fast time is going by as it is.

Death = not cool

Depends on how I look. I don't wanna look old. If I'm 100 and look 60, then yea, be nice. Although if I'm 100 and look 35 then wow.

I knew/know people who are in their 70's/80's and they look to be in their 60's.

I had this talk with one of my friends the other day. For me personally I don't want to live that long. I figure somewhere between 45-60 I'd be fine with.

I honestly don't want kids. And the thought of dying in a hospital bed or just a bed in general irks me. Same thing with having loved ones near by.
I don't want them watching me pass on. I've watched and I right then I knew I didn't want to have spectators.

This might sound nuts but I want to die outside, standing up somewhere alone and peaceful with a good view. I don't know why but Its always been my prefered way to go.

I don't want to be senile or crapping myself but if I can be sharp and a 100, why not.

I'd love to see what else the future holds. Native American president? Flying motorcycles?

Thats exactly it. It all depends on my quality of life. My grandfather lived to be 95 and it wasnt pretty. Why would I want five more years of that? But if medical science can make it easier, sure.

I go back and forth about death. I'm scared of it obviously, but I'm also kind of curious. Is there an afterlife? What's it like?

As for living to be 100...if I were healthy enough I'd like it. I'd love to see what the world is like 100 years after my birth. I'd hope I were still sharp enough to appreciate all the changes I'd see.

I would like to live to at least 75-80. 100 would be excellent though. I'd like to cherish every minute I have on this planet.

65-70: the right time to go.

In the afterlife you get to choose whether you'll become what's in your avvy or not..

I have great grandparents who were still walking around and conversing well into their late 90s, so it is possible. The older you get, the more your stance changes. Nobody wants to die unless they're just in agonizing pain.

as long as i'm not hooked up to a machine, sure. think of everything that's happened in the past 100 years. living to see another 100 could be amazing. key words are: could be.

I know you would love it if I chose to look like my avvy. :woot:
