The Amazing Spider-Man Does a Lizard with no snout bother you? If so, why?

Does the lack of snout bother you?

  • It bothers me alot

  • It bothers me a little

  • It doesn't bother me at all

  • I actually like him without the snout

We have fuzzy pics with a somewhat more reptillian head. So I'm not too worried.

Then my natural spidey wit paid off. To get things back into super-shape...

Lizard.
> Will likely have somewhat of a snout, mouth may look stretched from the side.
> Will definitely have pants - way too many questions... this isn't Watchmen.
> Will hopefully wear a lab coat.

Just give Lizard some clothes, and we will be fine.

He has the snout.

Hard to get a good look at him but at least he looks better there.

I'm glad we can post these pics in here now:) and that this thread is back on topic

I'm more disappointed with the decidedly human face.. it should be more lizard like, the eyes should be lizard-like, not human.. and does he lose his, well, s*x organs when he changes? He should at least have some torn-up pants.. and he had better talk in the movie..

The face is only human from the front. It's very "Lizard" from the side.

Lol but in all seriousness, I agree, he should have some clothing. But I don't mind that he doesn't.

As for the underlined part, Rhys Ifans confirmed that Lizard will talk in the movie, and actually did a demonstration of what the Lizard sounds like in an MTV interview.

On the concept art:
When he stares at you with his head held a little down,it gives the illusion that he doesn't have a snout, but a side view would show that he does have one.

This is The Lizard were getting, the only thing that could change with his look,is if he wears tattered cloths.

I think it's just a prototype of the look myself, or at worst, how he will look early on (kinda doubt that though as this looks very little like what was shown at ComicCon in the face).

I TOTALLY agree with wanting to see a tattered/torn/shred lab coat or the like... as this to me adds to the horror, and takes the Lizard more along the lines of The Fly.. as opposed to just another generic monster/superpowered being.

I agree about having clothes is a big part of his character visually.

However, as I've said before, if he wears pants but no labcoat...it will be a pretty painful walk home when he gets back to human form and the tail grows back.

How clothes are going to stay on that thing is a mystery. I don't see it happening with the picture above. He's massive, look at his neck, and we're not even seeing his entire neck; pants, shirt, socks, shoes and draws just wouldn't stay on him. The Lizard is a freak.

I can see the lab coat working in the first appearance of the Lizard but after that it would seem alittle forced for Connors to put on his lab coat before every transformation.

Lol i randomly came across this thread and just joined because i'm the guy that made this concept...i was wondering if i should put the white lab coat on him?

Without what follows =p

Nice image

No infractions have been handed out but if this ridiculous discussion of the Lizard's anatomy continues, that will change.

Agreed!

The snout isn't really that iconic. To my knowledge, he really only started to look like this:

In more recent years after it was popularized by Todd McFarlane, if I recall correctly.

The snout faced Lizard is his most popular / iconic look. Plus, artists were drawing him with a snout before McFarlane famous run. Lastly, McFarlane's Lizard wasn't that recent...the Torment arc was from 1990 - which makes that awesome version of Lizard nearly 22 years old.

I said McFarlane popularized the long snout look, not that he invented it.

Ditko's version has always been the Lizard for me. Personally, I'm glad they're paying him some homage. Every time I see a comment about how this "doesn't look like the Lizard" I

Wholeheartedly agreed.

i really hope Lizard is wearing the lab coat

without it, he will just look like some generic monster

Actually, he drew the Lizard before Torment. I'm not saying I dislike it, but I can understand why it wasn't used.
