The Amazing Spider-Man Does a Lizard with no snout bother you? If so, why?

Does the lack of snout bother you?

  • It bothers me alot

  • It bothers me a little

  • It doesn't bother me at all

  • I actually like him without the snout

Why are people calling it concept art... as though it's subject to drastic change?

It's promo art.

It's a VERY strong indicator of what we're going to be seeing. And I'm betting a side view will reveal that he has a bit of a snout.

But why use a different design for promo art from that which is actually in the film?

I am a little bothered by the snoutlessness, though. It's not just that, but he looks a little too human in that concept art, in an awkward way.
Agreed. I hope in the film, he looks better in motion and when he speaks.

Wut? It looks basically the same as it did in the footage, hell, people who were there to see the footage admitted it. But... some people who were there also said it didn't. So, it's best to wait for a trailer.

Apart from the size of him, he looks pretty much the same (to me) as he did in the front view footage screenshot. We haven't gotten a clear side view of the new pics, so who's to say he DOESN'T have a snout like he seems to have in the leaked Comic Con footage screens?

Mhm, I think it is okay. Like other people said: I hope it is just an early stage of transformation.

Also when I saw it for the first time, I was like oh holy ****, his eyes are too human...same the rest of his face too. Btw, why he has no lab-coat when he is small ( in the concept art picture). He is not even big enough to rip the lab-coat off.

He's still 9ft tall.

I know that. Maybe when the lizard in the early of transformation I think he should has the labcoat. Then, u kno, when he is getting bigger then the labcoat should be "rip off" by then.

My first reaction to seeing the Lizard was, "Oh #%*$, he actually looks creepy. Thumbs up. But he looks a little "weak" I expected him to be more muscular.
But honestly, the slenderness adds to the creepiness.

He'll probably be 9ft tall in the first transformation, It wouldn't stay on.

Because it's a drawing on a piece of paper. The footage at the Comic-Con was a live action moving image from the film. Did you not see the size of The Lizard compare to those two girls, his neck looks thicker than both their heads. There's no way he can wear the clothes of the guy playing Connors. He would have ripped out of them completely, and so he has.

Agreed.

As much as we may hate it, it makes sense for him not to have the lab coat. A 6ft tall, skinny guy's clothes won't fit on a hulking, 9ft tall monster.

MAYBE for a few minutes :csad: I just want the lizard has the labcoat so badly. Without it...he will not look like THE lizard.

Well..just saying.

Ya. I hate to admit that but I have to agree with this.

I don't ****ing understand what is going on here so I'm just going to lay it all out for everyone right here and now.

1. THIS IS THE LIZARD. This is not an early transformation. This is what he will be. Sure, Dr. Connors might have some scales on him as a side effect, but when he turns into the Lizard, this will be what we see every. Single. Time.

2. He is bigger on film. NUMEROUS people that have seen the SDCC footage state that he is bigger and scarier on film. He will have more bulk to him. Hello? The thing ****ing throws cars (see: trailer), he's not going to be small by any means.

3. There is no god damn lab coat. I can guarantee that during the transformation sequences there will be a little bit of clothing left on him but he promptly shrugs it all off. It will be a nice little nod to the people that want to see it, but it's time to get over it.

I hope this will end any of these silly discussions going forward until we see some real footage of him.

If I'm wrong about any of the aforementioned, I will gladly (per usual) eat my dog.

Yes, everything you said is correct. I never said anything about this being an early transformation and I know he'll be bigger on screen.

And yes, I hope we all know by now that he won't have the ****ing coat.

It's basic common-sense. Oh, I don't hate it, I love it, it means the director has a brain. The sad part is, if they change it and his clothes magically stay on him, because of the fanboys wanted it (a la Venom being stuffed into Spider-Man 3) that's gonna phuck things up.

I agree. This is the Lizard, as he will be seen throughout the movie.

I don't hate it either. As much as I wish they did have him wearing a lab coat, it just wouldn't make sense and I'm glad they're not adding it just to please some fanboys.

6592, Okayyy.....I think you need to take a chill pill. :P

No, I don't. It gets so ****ing annoying seeing the same cyclical argument over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.

"I like the Lizard, but I think it's his first transformation. Maybe he'll have the lab coat in a different transformation."

1 page later...

THIS ISN'T ****ING DRAGONBALL Z OR POKEMON. :cmad:

I think it's completely plausible to think that/ wonder if they'd promote one version and keep the more intense transformation more under wraps. I clearly see a snout in that fuzzy pic, but this version in the other fuzzy pic, and I don't think it's just in my own mind.

I agree. I think if the Lizard evolved like some people wanted, then they would have said so in interviews.
