Does anybody ever have Lucid Dreams?

Oh, well it's not always nightmares. Sometimes it's dreams that make you say WTF when you wake up. That's what Scrooge had for dinner before he met those ghosts.
I once took a **** in my dream.....and no I didnt wake up in ****. :hehe:

But it was weird....I was in some store...and I actually went into the bathroom and pooped. WHY?

What the **** kind of dream is that?!

Ok so I read this whole thread ,but I keep a dream journal also. It mainly worked when I was 14 or so but I am not having dreams lately (like 3 years) . It is really buggin me cause I know it is possible making yourself dream but I never knew how or never knew it was call 'Lucid Dreaming'. I like normal dreams because it reveals who you are in a strange way. For example I kept having a dream about a mystery girl for an odd reason. And some that I somewhat controlled was me being my own hero and such because I am a big Superhero geek. I stopped my dream journal not too long ago because I can't remember them because I wake up in the middle of the night but I was hoping I could make myself dream again and you guys helping me. I tried the way of telling myself what I wanted to dream by listening to the Batman Beyond score to bed and imagining my own fantasy but that sadly didn't work. So could someone give me a short version of the best way to 'Lucid Dream'? This will be awesome because I always loved dreaming because I would reveal about me who I am without telling myself it. I remember I had a dream once that I was Batman and I had rocket boots and I was about to take off and my cape caught on fire haha!

But enough of my randomness, how long does it take to get someone to Lucid Dream?

I mainly want to know how to get myself to dream ,because sadly I haven't in a good while :(

They just happen from time to time. The real problem is getting them to last because the reason most people attain lucidity is because they're becoming conscious enough to recognize their dream state which causes a tenuous hold on sleep. I've have many occasions of becoming lucid during a dream and then rushing to do whatever I wanted only to wake before much was accomplished.

I've also experienced sleep paralysis, which is frustrating. And false awakening, which is unsettling.

I have those "**** dreams" all the time too. Like I'll have to take a real bad **** and can't find a toilet so I'll be running around panicking and then I finally find one, which is usually more often than not in the middle of a room or in a bathroom with no door on it. I had one dream where the toilet was in the middle of K Mart (mens clothing dept.) so I just sat there and took a looong **** infront of people.

those dreams suck because I usually have to **** really really bad in them and once I start ****ting, it doesn't stop. I'll wake up wondering if I've shat the bed, never the case though

yea, once I start Lucid Dreaming it only lasts a minute or so before I slip out of it. That SUCKS

I experience "sleep paralysis" as well. It's caused many a sleepless nights

I never got to train myself to dream. Jsut can't do it. However, whenever I swear or get upset at someone and call them a name, even thuogh i don't mean it, I usually have a bad dream that night.

This past week, I had a dream where it was night time out. I was in my house, and i forgot what i was doing. ANyway, I think I looked out my living rom window and saw a somewhat elderly womanwalknig away form my house with stolen stuff from my house. I ran out side and pushed her to the ground. She had a heart attack and died. I couldn't cope with it in the dream.

Now, I know it wasn't a graphic dream, but it depressed me when I woke up.

2 other dreams I've had this past week involve me getting lacerations on my hands.

How do you train yourself to dream?

smoke some weed before going to bed, believe me, you'll be dreaming in minutes :cwink:

of course if you don't smoke there's always focus and concentration

I heard keeping a dream journel helps but never had to resort to that

I wish I could control when I did and didn't dream, but I wouldn't use for X rated versions I would do cool stuff before I resorted to that.

I only had a few lucid dreams. One time I was in my neighbourhood and was just amazed how realistic everything looked. Ended up sitting in a cinema and talking with Christopher Walken I think. I'm not sure.

Another time I was in an Elevator with a mirror when I realized I was dreaming. Tried to do something as simple as changing the shirt I'm wearing with my mind. It worked, but I woke up right after that.

Again in another dream, I have no idea what it was about, but I was attacked by a bunch of gorillas. Froze them in time, mid-air when they were jumping at me. It was pretty cool.

that works well yes,but the liquid vicodin the doc gave me when i had my tonsils out last week made for crazy ass dreams that even th guys on 4chan would be scared of

Is there any enzyme that would increase the chances of dreaming?

I think there's a way to condition yourself. For example, in real life you set your watch to go off every 10-15 minutes. Then you start observing your environment and start to questioning everything. You ask yourself if you're dreaming, is what's happening right now in any way real, is there anything that's out of the ordinary.

If you do that often enough in real life, it'll become a habbit and you start to pay close attention to your environment in your dreams. There are other ways to induce lucid dreaming, I went to a site once that was all about lucid dreams. I'll see if I can find it.

*Edit*

Here it is.

Try to take a look around their board. There's something mentioned about a Vitamin B6.

Although once I really had to piss...and so I did...and I woke up in piss.

Not cool.

I talked to my brother about lucid dreams, and he told me that our grandmother said ,to eat a handfull of Jelly Belly Beans. Then brush your teeth like crazy. I am gonna try it but does anyone have something crazy like that?

Reviving this, because I'm trying again to practice this again. I keep a journal next to my bed now, so I can write down anything I remember when I wake up. And I'm doing frequent reality checks during the day, so I may eventually do it when I'm dreaming. Been doing this half a week now. Let's see how long it's gonna take till I have my first, actually planned, Lucid dream. I want to fly and shoot lasers out of my eyes again.

Would love to have flying dreams again. The freedom and exhilaration was amazing.

My friend has a lot of lucid dreams, I've always been quite jelous as I've never had one.

I have, however, had two dreams now in which I am a man, and **** a woman... And finish and everything!

What the hell is that?
