Does anyone know whats going on with Squadron Supreme?

I remember when they announced Mike Deodato was taking over on art. He never did an issue.

Probably. I wonder who was going to be cast as Hyperion.

That'd work if they could happen regularly. But they're too infrequent and require too much red tape and coordination to really add anything significant to each of the universes.

It doesn't have to a difficult process. Marvel and Top Cow crank out crossover after crossover. Actually, Marvel'll do a crossover with anyone. It seems like DC are the ones not willing to participate. And when you consider the quality of Marvel's recent crossovers, it looks like DC's making the right decision.

I wish Marvel would put Deodato on something that I read. :(

I don't know why Marvel allows it's characters to lose to Batman and Superman so much. It's like it's part of the deal for those 2 to never lose to Marvel, when Marvel constantly outsells DC which doesn't make any sense. It is seems that Spidey seems to be the most popular comic character these days. I'm just hoping that a crossover will be done where they both get their ass whooped. I doubt it cuase when they wouldn't allow Spidey to beat Batman, and Batman took down the freaking Hulk with gas.................it doesn't look good. :(

And yet, Venom mopped the floor with Superman....:sym: :word:

Actually, in JLA/Avengers Batman conceeded that he would lose in a fight to Captain America, so they stopped the fight and left to come up with answers to what was happening.

I thought that was pretty slick. Plus, Superman got his ass handed to him in that same issue.

Yeah but by the entire team. How is it they would allow Wonder Woman to get beat by Storm but won't let Supes lose to any of Marvel's powerful players? And i know Bats admitted that Cap could beat him, but I just wanted to see Bruce get his ass whooped and just see the look on his face.

P.S. How the heck can Venom beat Supes when he is 20 class max, and Thor who is 100+ class magical being can't? it doesn't make much sense.

Um, yes he did. I believe he said (and I'm paraphrasing: "You can probably beat me in a fight, but this is a waste of our resources."

Now I have to go look up the exact quote.

I think Darthphere's just distinguishing between the fact that Batman admitted Cap could beat him in a fight from the falsehood that he admitted Cap would beat him in a fight, as if it were a foregone conclusion.

I took it more as a "this is stupid, let's be pragmatic" sort of thing. I was pleased with it in that respect, since JLA/Avengers was mostly a team-up.

To this day, I still have not read JLA/Avengers. It came out during my exile from comics, and I never looked for it.

It's not a brilliant story or anything. Perez's art is great, though.

Perez's art is always great. I've heard nothing but "meh" reviews about it, though.

Busiek's bias against... ahem... certain characters is in full swing. I don't think he did a terribly great job on a lot of the fights.
