well, if smallville is a suburb of metropolis, and it just lays on the ground naturally in Smallville, then the chances are pretty likely. Also, the chances are pretty likely that Metropolis got hit by a couple of stray meteors, if Smallville is so close

that's not as bad as the hospital rating. i swear someone is in the hospital every freaking episode! and its always been like that! the one time, and ive been keeping up, that the hospital was not visited was the other week that i can remember.

Yea the biggest problem the show has with kryptonite is they decided to make it come with clark in a large ammount compared to past superman incarnations where there was very little on the planet.

although it has turned out problematic in the long run, one can see why they introduced it the way they did. The first season would have been a serious stretch of the imagination, if Clark was constantly weakened by such a rare substance.

it's a 3 hour drive from Metropolis. It's about as much a suburb of Metropolis as Baltimore is to NYC

Yeah, but if you think about it, pretty much the world's entire supply of kryptonite is found in Smallville so that's not too horrible. Although after, what, 20 years since the first shower, you''d think that there would be more interest in the scientific community regading those things.

I thought they kind of changed that in Veritas (or some ep) where they said Smallville is a small town just outside of Metropolis. Its a little ridiculous they have the characters commuting to a job 3 hrs away, they should have turned the Talon apt. to a place in Metropolis.

yea they totally should have chloe/lois/jimmy living in an apt in metroplois and clark on the farm still since well he has his superspeed.
