I can understand why people left for other boards, some people on here were really unpleasant and condescending. But they all seem to have left now.

There's still some around. :(

I know, but at least some of them actually discuss with you instead of just telling you you're wrong.

I don't see many discussing Jason's future sidekick role and what his powers should be or whether his costume should mirror his fathers. I'd like to see opinions on how Jason will deal with his own birthright.

My idea is that wb should create a show about it on tv. who agrees?

Well I have to get my post count up somehow...

Chrisbalebatman and I are in a race to 10,000. ha ha ha ha

I watched Superman Returns yesterday and liked it a lot.

The only thing I disliked is that he managed to lift an entire Island with a shard of Krrrryptonite stuck in his side and tons of it surrounding him.

Well, they were powerful enough that Superman was unable to defend himself against 3 normal men. Yet he manages to lift the Island into space with a little shard of real Kryptonite stuck in his side.

Yeah, that was a bit of a stupid thing to put in the movie. I think if they hadnt shown the shard being removed in hospital, that scene would have been a lot easier for people to accept. But overall i love the movie, i saw it 3 times.

answer to the topic's title: YES, IT DOES! Superman Returns is a very good movie.

I saw it 4 times. And yes, this one scene was stupid, where he has the K in his body and still has his powers and is strong enough to throw NK into space. But on the other hand you could explain it with his will to help mankind. He took all his power together and throws NK away.

Well thats how i saw the scene, his will to help mankind overcame the kryptonite. But its still a flaw.

Not really. He basically lifted an entire Island made out of Kryptonite. Taking out the Hospital scene wouldn't have made a difference. It would be still bollocks.

With the island though, when lifting it, he wasnt directly exposed to the kryptonite until some rock fell off the bottom of the island, but by that time he was virtually in space with the island anyway.

When Lex's men were beating him the kryptonite was already coming through the rock and could be seen, this wasnt the case when he lifted the island.

Before he even left the atmosphere there were like 4 big Krystals of Kryptonite growing out of the bottom of the Island in front of his face. And a scene later they show that the Kryptonite has even almost reached his hands before giving the final push.

There was so many Kryptonite in close proximity, he should have lost his strength immidiately and plummeted back to earth with the entire Island.

I always pictured it as one of those 'against the odds' moments. Where all signs point to failure, but the hero prevails. I thought it had to do with his strong determination and the boost he got from the sun that allowed him to do that massive feat. He did pretty much die at the end of it anyway.

the point is, its superman, against the odds or not, its kryptonite. the only thing he is useless against. his only true weakness.
and what about the scene on this island when lex and co are beating the snot out of him. he is utterly useless. and he didnt even have any inside him at that time.
there is no way to justify this screw up in the story. its ridiculous.
