Dominic West about Punisher War Zone

The audio in my CPU is toast. Did he say anything substantial? Like how he's channeling Steven Segal for the role?

Now you're just talking out of your ass because Dominic West was not the actor in the picture that looks like Segal.

west mentioned that he tried to play his character as comedic in the midst of all the scary and violent stuff, which i think is good cuz hopefully that means jigsaw is a straight up psycho, mowing people down ala the dark knight's joker. he also said he'll have a new york accent, or as he put it "nah i'm a ****in new yawka."

He should come across as funny and charismatic. Once he's Jigsaw he should be an exaggerated version of himself. I guess sorta like The Joker but darker.

hahaha, when asked for any little nugget of info he could give he said "it will be a lot better than the previous two". haha.

Well that didn't exactly fill me with confidence. A comedy? And what was with that accent?

Hmm... Sort of slipped at first and suggested it could be awful.
Of course he caught himself and said it would be fantastic, but that is the expected response... Bit worried if his first reaction was that its ****.

The interview kinda of seemed tounge in cheek... But West is one of the reasons I'm still looking forward to this.

Violent or not, something tells me that it will never be as dark as ledgers Joker... this could be a face off for the years best villian.

^I agree, dude can play a drunk with the best of 'em. Actually watching him on the Wire gives me confidence that he could play a psychopath.

Yeah, I caught that also. But in the end it is up to Lexi how the movie comes out. Dominic is slick in his response , just in case it sucks he did say it could be awful, if it's awesome he did say it will be amazing. At worst it will still be better than the previous two versions of the Punisher according to West.:brucebat:

Have all of you read the front page? Dominic West has been cast as Destro in G.I. Joe!! Man!! Is West like the new Rutger Hauer or what?!!

I just checked also. It appears West denied it as a mere rumor. You can check in comics2film.

Dominic West didn't sound very thrilled about talking about he movie. Maybe he's waiting to surprise everyone when we get a trailer. Just maybe!!

"It'll either be really awful or brilliant"

Hahahaha...priceless.

I think the interview is interesting. I think he was probably caught off guard and wasn't expecting that line of questions.

yeah, he definitely seemed caught off guard... or perhaps he was under the influence.

He certainly acted a little off. Those cheeks sure were rosy.

I don't know what he was thinking when he said it could be awful! :hehe:

Haha... "It could be awful... or.. wait, no! It'll be good! Dammit!"

Whatever, sounds like he had fun with it, and that's usually a good thing. Maybe not so in the Ocean's 11 series, but otherwise, it's probably a good thing. I also like how he just went into his New Yorker accent, just for fun. "I get to play Tony Soprano!"

No, he's not going to be Heath's Joker, but hopefully he'll put out an interesting villain.

Yeah,Doug said that him and Dom had a great time on set.It sound like Dominic is playing Jigsaw, like Nick Cage when he played Castor Troy.Which is a very good thing:)Plus when the cast and crew was making this film, nobody was thinking about TDK.They were just having a goodtime,so Micro I agree with you. That Dominic's Jigsaw is going to be very interested(In a good way):)Dec 5th The Punishment Begins:unishr:
