No, the child is not really sick. The idea of making a child either think he is sick , or making them sick on purpose is called Munchausen Syndrome. If he really needed his respirator, HE WOULD NOT HAVE THROWN IT AWAY. Notice that as soon as he throws the inhaler away, he quits having asthma signs.

Agreed. I don't think she knew the kid was Superman's but even if she did, it makes sense for her to say it's Richard's. Notice her tone when she replies to Lex's questions. She was trying to protect her son and give him a normal life as possible. There's no way she can do that if she were to tell Jason who his real dad was.

I thought the kiss didn't work because in Superman 4 Lois admits she remembers all about him and Superman was surprised that she kept it secret all this time.

I just saw the movie and this is what I got from it, Lois knows Clark is Superman look at the way she keeps her distance from him and how she almost seems confrontational to him. She knows the kid is his but would not tell anyone including the kid because she would not want to put him in danger. Richard knows the kids not his because when their at the hospital and the kid wants to go with Lois Richard gives a look of worry about losing his family to Superman and I don't think he'd be so worried if the kid was his. As for the kid being sick I think that parallels young Clark needing glasses which makes me think that it takes so many years of absorbing the sun's energy to make them fully powerful and healthy. The kid calls Richard dad because that often happens when the mom is in a long serious relationship with a man and it's the only father figure he knows. This all could have been explained more clearly but either way this is my understanding

She says "Our Relationship?" what almost sounds like she's saying "what a joke we don't have a relationship because you left." I know I could be reading to much into it but it's just the vibe I got from her why else would she appear so shocked at the word "relationship" I mean thay had been friends which would constitute haveing a relationship so like I said I don't see why she would have jumped on that word otherwise. As for the kiss in Superman 2 I don't think it worked on Lois even though Superman thought it did which I'm pretty sure was mentioned in Superman 4 where Lois admitted to Superman she remembered about him I think, It's been alot of years since I seen it. As for Singer I know he said he ignored the kiss but if he's smart he should use it that way and just have Lois admit she knows who he is in the next movie.

It was supposed to be a joke we were supposed to laugh at, but we had nothing to base this whole "relationship" clark mentions off of and it's just really creepy to think clark believes he's in a relationship with an engaged woman so it doesn't work. Bad joke I guess. You see it all the time on sitcoms and here I think it has no place

Can I ask something? What was up with all the stapler borrowing and clark trying to pick something up but lois grabs it. that was pertty weird.
